I have family up in the mountains, and they're saying it's worse than anything you're seeing on the news. I heard that the last comparable storm was back in 1916.
Bridges are designed to handle water flowing past, not being hit by rocks and trees carried by flood waters. This also assumes that the flood waters don't scour the ground out from underneath the bridge.
Don't forget eastern Tennessee. It's a horrible mess where my in-laws live up in the mountains. Roads out, dams breached, and bridges gone. I personally know at least one person who died.
Everybody seems to be talking about coastal areas, but southern Appalachia hasn't seen a storm like this in over a century. Multiple sections of I-40 and I-26 are just gone, bridges are washed away, and dams have failed. My family up in the mountains of Tennessee will probably be without power for over a week, and it'll be years before the infrastructure is rebuilt. Pretty much everywhere that wasn't on a mountainside was flooded, and wind-downed trees damaged everywhere else.
Cranes are dangerous partly because they can fall over on you, so you want the guy putting everybody else's lives in danger to have his neck on the line, too.

While I buy plat because I like to support the devs, anybody can farm for stuff to trade for plat. No rewards can be bought, only equipment.
There have been several major updates in the past year adding entirely new game mechanics that I think are fun. How is the F2P whiny?
Long, hard hours of labor, but the pay is decent and the work is rewarding. What other profession impacts the world like engineering?
If you want teamwork, play Planetside 2. Your team is an army (well, what would properly be called a battallion, but who's counting.

Nah, I've worked in 120-degree weather, and I'm still alive. You just can't work hard, and you have to drink lots of water (and eat salt).
New cars are designed with parts that crumple. The passenger compartment is designed to deform only a little bit.
Space Engineers is a fun game if you like science and sandbox games. Just be willing to deal with a few physics bugs, and you'll have fun.
You know you don't have to arrange them all spatially? Temporal arrangement would work better.
The only good thing about this upcoming election is that we'll still have the legislative and judicial branches to keep the POTUS in check.

I meant he would have been an RAF pilot during WWII, since the RAF did night bombing raids, while the USAAF did daytime raids.
The pilot of Speedbird 206 would have been British.

With minimal cooking skills you can prepare a week's worth of nutritional food in about an hour or two.
