#30 you can find these on etsy, a few different variations at this point. I have some prints of them but the seller I bought from also sent me PDFs, so now it's my screensaver.

I hear you about vim, that was my start as well, and left it entirely because elisp is terrible but it's so much better than vimscript

emacs can also be a fancy* graphical* editor over SSH through tramp-mode, for what it's worth

* fanciness subject to your aesthetic sense and graphical-ish-ness subject to whether you're running it in a terminal

I wouldn't trade it for anything though. Almost all software is trash, but emacs is a joy.

of course maybe it's not actually a "piece of plasma" falling, more like conditions between that point and that point warmed/cooled to the point that gas that was already there turned to plasma or vice versa or something like that, I'm not a physicist

This plasma-loogie falls two earth diameters in ~14 minutes: , that's.... 4 *million* mph or 1822 kps

#37 sometime try putting four houses on everything you can and then don't build hotels. the rules either say "you can't buy houses if there aren't any available" or else don't say anything at all about whether you can. Doesn't matter much if other players beat you to having a few hotels, they won't be getting any more.

#14 this totally works for me as long as it's like Dragonforce or something fast. it completely subverts the "hey but what if.." part of my brain in favor of the "go fastnowwwwwww" part

.... it's better if I don't listen to that stuff while I'm driving though, *apparently*.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

“What brought it on?”

“Physics,” said Mike.

#11 autism awareness is so you can be aware of autism. "be aware" is ye olde waye of saying "beware".

... now I want red and white signs to put on my side gate like BEWARE OF AUTISM

Is that one "the mom who's running on 1.5 hours of sleep, is low-blood-sugar hangry, and only really desires to have something in her stomach to make it easier to keep her cool, but doesn't want to tip off the kids that There Be Snacks, because that could ruin their dinner appetite"? bc That Mom prolly can't do brain trig in that moment.
