How would you, carte blanche, improve tech education, make computers better, and more accessible? What do you think is the ideal complexity of tech stack? Wat is the ideal UI/HCI?
I'm not blanket defending AI, I'm just saying your angle is shit. AI is not reliable. AI can not properly prioritize. AI devalues labor. AI is a privacy risk, a security risk, a disinformation risk. It is a source of tech debt, de-standardization and it promotes churn. But it can be used responsibly, ecologically, to learn, to improve and to defend. The problem is that it gives bad behavior MORE leverage than it gives restrained usage. And I assure you, you're way off on your analysis of me.
Well for one you're mixing me up with MrAcurite. And no, I don't see "people besides autists can use a PC" as a bad thing, and I do not really see "autists gained bartering leverage" as societal progress. Because if society had made ACTUAL progress, you wouldn't be afraid to lose that leverage. Which shows clearly that it's just transactionality and circumstance wearing a trench coat, and that society itself hasn't really progressed. The problem isn't AI lowering bars, the problem is power.
Is asking for a pizza and getting a pizza not more accessible than having to knead your own dough, know oven tenmps, etc? Using AI is a different skill than writing code, and complementary, just like learning how the functions of a library work. The level of auteurship and quality depend on how you use it. And AI can help a lot in self-education; it's quite good at answering often-asked questions with a commonly accepted answer. Like a teacher, encyclopedia or o'reilly book.

We've been trying to make computing more accesible for *everyone* for the past century. From hardware-only logic to punch cards to C to javascript to if-this-then-that to wordpress to AI. Has basically fuckall to do with autism. I can give chatGPT a simple spec and tell it to build a snippet in a language/syntax I don't know and then run through the logic; autism doesn't help me code in another language but AI can.
Oh don't worry, they're just gonna repurpose all the datacenters into tokenized game streaming.
