Cloud gaming let's you play the games without downloading or installing them on your system. Its... fine? I feel like if your connection is good enough to do it you're better off downloading it anyway.
They are adding caps to playtime with cloud gaming. You can still play as much as you want if you download the games though.

Cost vs reward. They make staggering amounts of money regardless of who wins the games. Clout and pride carry a lot of weight too. Player salaries never would have risen as high as they have, if the games were fixed. The allure of competition is all they need to bring in advertising, which is where they make all their money.
This. Pineapple on pizza can be good, but you need to balance it with spicy. Pepperoni is much better, also jalapeños for leaning in to the spicy/sweet harder.

Almost definitely, but I'm willing to be wrong. My kids have been on a geometry dash YouTube phase and that all sounds familiar. Watching them play is wild, game moves so fast it makes me feel my age.

Language she's talking about got into use by people trying to get around shadow bans and de-monetization. My government teacher years ago pointed out that education is usually in the top 3 line items for budget, and so people who don't understand statistics like to use that as their "proof".
I think they were pointing out that libraries do rentals for a ton of media. Anecdotally I've found a lot of people don't realize libraries do much more than just check out books. The ones in CA don't even charge late fees anymore, it's awesome.
