Be realistic dude. Kids don't really have empathy yet and will bully you relentlessly for anything. It's terrible but it's reality.
This makes their child only want to go to school LESS because of the bulling that will surely follow. This is just punishing to punish.
Yes ineffective consequences. An actually good parent would ask why their child did not want to go to school and move on from there. 1/2
