Yep, M$hit pulled this crap on me over a decade ago. I had "purchased" seasons of the Horsepower TV, Trucks!, and Xtreme 4x4 (Spike TV's Powerblock) from the XBox Live Store. Then I went to play them one time and I got a license error. Contacted support and they told me because the 'licenses' no longer exist on the store, I cannot watch the files on the HDD of my XBox. Probably a hundred dollars or more of content, gone. They offered me 1 month of XBox Live Gold, a $6 value.
I used the phrase "I feel like" when referring to something I remember we did and my uncle went off on some BSC tirade about feelings and woke. Apparently 'feel' is a conservative trigger word.

I have a Ubuntu box that keeps crashing, i tried to use Chat GPT (paid version my company uses) to dig through the logs and point out anything that might indicate what the problem is. I first tried to 'attach' the log files as a .log text file but it would just say there were no logs attached. Once I got it to read the logs, it would 'think' for a bit, start to output a response, then throw an error.
I mean, I would, so can't blame 'em

If you do, make sure you get one with a metal mount and secure it properly. I had one with a plastic mount in my car, something hit and broke the plastic mount causing the extinguisher to come loose and start rolling around in my trunk, where it subsequently went off in said trunk. It was a mess.

I can't stress enough just how important the 'unplanned disassembly event' prevention is. So much so that a special license is required to operate a steam boiler in many states.
#35 so which came first? The crane or the crane to assemble the crane? Maybe a crane that was assembled by something that wasn't quite a crane?
I asked for one for Christmas for several years, but never got one. That being said, I suspect my parents were concerned about it damaging the cars.

Oh oh oh, I saw a good one. I was recently in the market to buy a house, and 1 of the places I looked at had a bowing basement wall. A previous owner attempted to repair it themselves with a hunk of angle iron (a good start) but then they used fence turnbuckles and like drywall screws to secure the top of the angles. The bottom was screwed to the basement floor with tapcons.

According to the article "He was charged with four misdemeanors — public indecency, persistent disorderly conduct, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest — according to the Register." But hopefully they tack some more on later.
Looks good...BUT this car is from the era of chrome, and there is a serious lack of it.

As an industrial automation engineer, I'm baffled why a safety device, whose failure could not only cause casualties in the plant but also a significant portion of the surrounding community, didn't have redundancy. I've seen systems where the control systems for lighting had redundant PLCs (industrial control computers) with battery backups and backup generators.
