I think you have a point. The position of women has changed a lot in the past years. I think men still need to adapt to that change. Having a steady job used to suffice to attract a spouse (that job could sustain 2 people). Now women are more demanding (can't blame them) and they expect more from their partner.I believe that's why some men are lost and that's the reason why online dating coaches etc are popular
You would reuse the same water multiple times, the dirty water could then be used to flush the toilet. Flushing a toilet already wastes this water anyway.
Newer models had skip protection, like 3 seconds skip protection meant you could shake it 3 seconds and it kept playing
