If we look to the Seattle General Strike of the early 1900s, there's some guidance: it was successful in that they planned for how they could still support the people. Milk delivery still ran so kids who needed it were ok, kitchens made food for the people.
A general strike only works with a foundation of solidarity among the working class and systems to support the people that work outside of the established system.
I cannot stress this enough: FUCK THE POLICE! And I can't name the A bold enough in ACAB. Not a stitch of honesty, humility, or empathy among them. Class traitors who protect property for the capitalist class while shitting on the rest of the working class. We'd be better off without them. Plenty of better systems we could create to take their place that could actually serve the community.

Native Tennessean here. Fuck this republican supermajority we got here. Because of them, we've got terrible policies that do nothing to benefit our citizens and we've attracted the worst people from the US to move here—most of them conservative Californians who think they now have the freedom to be the biggest assholes ever.
We essentially already do. Guns at protests? Only if you're a republican. Freedom to live your life as you please? Only if you're a straight. Freedom to worship? Only if you're an evangelical Christian. Freedom to determine your own health choices? Only if you're a man.
There are far more documented right wing domestic terrorists. Like, not even a contest! But how much more do you hear about "violent left wing activists?"
