YouTube has some great videos that easily show you how ! It's not super hard to do especially if you own a speed square

Haha it's been a work horse for me. I've been honestly supprised how much work I've gotten out if it in the last 4 years. That and my chop saw do ALOT of work.

No louisiana! There's a deposit of opal on the Texas/louisiana border.

They look cool lol. But I found a local spot that has a ton of petrified wood and what not. Been looking for opal to. But that's a bit harder to find. I love bones and fossils so cool rocks are not that far off

Any wood in shothern louisiana humidity is subject to the forces of nature. I don't have a ac controlled shop so all my stuff lives under a covered concrete carport. Also she :)

Some are glass picks some are paint ! But yeah there's alot of work here and you are absolutely correct that just jump hooks on the side would not hold the weight of somwthing this size !

They are on my website

I could do it but it would be a 4 k start peice. It would have to be bug and would have so much glass and solder. If your seriously interested message me

The hooks are made into the piece. So they are made from copper wire and little arms are soldered into the glass run.
