As interesting as Ibn al-Haytham is (seriously… the guy was brilliant) some of what’s said here is an overstatement. He didn’t discover gravity 600 years before Newton. He built on top of a broadly Arestotelian theory of why objects move toward the centre of the earth and did not make the realisation or formalise the mathematics to describe the attraction of arbitrary bodies with relation to their masses. No need to exaggerate one giant to tear down another.
One of the few series where I think the books and the series perfectly complement and enhance each other. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.
Imagine if they named it something mundane. Like “We named your star Ted after my brother-in-law.” It’d be so disappointing.

I’ve lived in Ireland for a good few years and every single time I’ve gone to the Cliffs of Moher it’s been like that. I have a running joke that they don’t exist and it’s all a successful ploy to get me into the pub to drown my disappointment! 😂
