Id argue they are worth, to the company, the value of the labor and parts in building them. And the inability to sell them counts as a loss.

Both problems could technically be solved by better propulsion. Radiation shielding exists, its just typically heavy. Better propulsion could essentially solve this by making the extra weight a non factor. You would also need something to counteract the effects of microgravity/freefall on the body, seeing as this can also cause a slew of medical issues.
Idk if $500 mil is world problem fixing money. You could help a a few towns maybe with that money and you could certainly help quite a few people.
I have a newish tundra. I find it extremely versatile and significantly more comfortable than my old tacoma. My tacoma was pretty tight for me and i would be pretty uncomfortable after a short while of driving it, also the backseat is tiny for fitting car seats in. I have a camper shell on my bed for my 3 dogs to travel in, or to put my bike in. There are plenty of people who get a truck just because, but i dont think its 90%
While i think the rare earth theory is part of the reason, I believe scale is the biggest factor, both is time and distance. Life supporting planets could even be common in the grand scale of things, but our position could be further out than most, we could be early or late in the timeline for intelligent life to pop up, or we could just be significantly spread out that travel will never be feasible within our current understanding of physics.
This is because movie theaters make most of their money off concessions. 16 visits is 16 opportunities to sell you extremely marked up popcorn and soda

The draft is for situations when the military at its current capacity cant support an operation, but the military is no where near that requirement for additional manpower. Having lived here for 5 years and about to leave, ive enjoyed it more than I thought i would. There are bad parts to it, like the massive amounts of tourists, the excess, etc. But there are some amazing and awesome things. The shows are incredible, so many concert options, there are some great resturaunts, variety of sports options. Outside the strip is great too. Its close to a bunch of national parks and the nearby state parks are fantastic. Gambling can be fun too if you limit yourself.
The military is just a cross section of the US populace. And from my experience politcal opinions fall pretty similar to the rest of the US. The lower enlisted generally lean more conservative, being lower educated and often from poor economic backgrounds, while the officers generally lean more liberal, having a higher education requirement and coming from a better economic background.
Lt Cols dont have that much influence on the large ascale thankfully.
Actually, the verbiage states no person shall be deprived of life liberty or the pursuit of happiness without due process of the law. It explicity says person and not citizen. Elsewhere in the document it uses the word citizen, so its not simply an implivation that the word person = citizen.

I get the point, its why we need more than 2 parties really. But on a national scale i dont think it works. Progressives dont appeal to a lot of independent voters and those near the middle of the political spectrum, a lot of them also dont have the national level visibility. Also Bernie got those votes following Obamas administration, but things have shifted dramatically since then. Kamala didnt win because people protest abstained and now we have are on the verge of a dictatorship
He sucks, but hes a populist figure and the presidential elections are popularity contests. If Newsom is the one who can get republicans out of the white house thats what we have to hitch to. Ideally we continue to push more progressive senators and congressmen who can slowly drive the train in the right direction, but theres no way we swing from a trump presidency to anyone who isnt basically a centrist, or in this case slightly right of center. It sucks.
Heres how the math works in my brain for no reason. 16-10 = 6. 10-9 = 1. 1+6 = 7. I basically do most mental addition and subtraction this way.

Do death rates still match pandemic levels? I know its still pretty dominant, but arent current strains less deadly? Im in no way an expert, but dont viruses tend to evolve to be less deadly due to host death preventing spread.
