I’m from the Bay Area and most people I know generalize to “Bay Area”, “San Francisco”, or “California” when outside the region.
Sounds like your project needed better designers and/or a more collaborative process between engineers and designers.
Why is Canada looking good, then? They seem more similar to Dems in policy in those areas than not.
