(obviously I won't assess how genuine Rowling was in her earliest statements against trans folk; she could have just been slow rolling her full hatred)

It's the same kind of shame as Rowling and Tate. Her early argument: "Women early in their transition might be triggering to other women at the shelter" Oh, okay, so do we give everyone more secure dorm rooms? "Kick 'em out!" "Goddamn it!" and so much redpill stuff is that men today feel aimless because the traditionally masculine lifegoals of yestercentury aren't acceptable anymore and, instead of finding new milestones to measure their worth by, they demand a return to those regressive times.

I love the whole Moral Philosophy scene because it identifies a real problem. The consequences cliff (compare and contrast to welfare cliffs), where minors receive slap-on-the-wrist consequences for their actions they don't learn how to behave in adult society. And I say, "That's a great point, Mr Heinlein! What do you suggest, after school programs? Community service?" and he goes "Beat them!" and I say "Goddamn it!"

I remember seeing someone on 4chan selling a bunch of flags in a patch thread. Israeli next to Nazi next to American next to Confederate and so on. Someone asked him what was up and he said "I don't care what color you are so long as your money's green."

Check if she's having a medical emergency. If it's new and controllable, let her keep it. If she should have been managing it, or it's unmanageable, take her license away.

I'm picturing an Airplane!-esque queue of people lined up to beat the shit out of the driver.

Yeah like, the FBI was 100% spying on him. I don't know if Hemingway had any particular evidence, it could have been a coincidence, but he was surveilled from the 1940's until his suicide.

I'm torn between calling that pre-meditated self-defense and "car got what they deserved".

I feel like he'd only have been mad if the joke *didn't* work on someone else. Like "You got me, now I've gotta get someone else!"

I wanna know what exactly they're told. My impression is that these kinds of enforcers are the kind of people who yell about their first amendment rights at the slightest provocation, so what exactly are they told that makes them ignore other people's first amendment rights? Obviously it's along the lines that they're foreigners and don't have any rights, but I wanna know the exact verbiage. What phrases are they susceptible to so that I can make sure I'm not falling for them, either?

It feels like a weird combination. From my cultural viewpoint it says something like "You can tell how badly they drank because of how hard everyone helped them." or like "We're helping you, but you should feel a little bad about it."

The people who work at gunstores are either the most professional or unprofessional people you've ever met. If you own a firearm and find a good shop never let that go.

40mm grenades need to make a few revolutions before arming to avoid this exact problem.

Chomsky fell into that mistake of "America Bad therefore America's Enemies Good". You can argue the first point as long as you bring some nuance but it doesn't imply the second point at all.

You should look at wood gas generators! You can turn lumber into a not-half-bad fuel for engines!

It's the Ukelele cover of Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. There's no specific NEED to unmute but it's thematically appropriate and comfy.

I don't know about "much", it went from 900kg to 1025kg. They're about the same size, too.
