My Dad was a vet, so we got to say goodbye to Biscuit our choc lab alone in the surgery after work hours, I cuddled her as she died...

Wow someone downvoted for saying addiction is not a moral disease... Just why so many people don't seek help.
It's just a tragedy, Leaving everyone who loves them hopeless, helpless and alone. I wish you well with your grief.
No one takes a med, or drinks and makes a conscious choice to be addicted to it, like YES! my life's ambition is to be a junkie/alch now!
I'm so sorry Nick, I work with people with addiction problems (having been an addict myself) so I understand its not a "moral desease"....
