Do you think doing an accent is all it takes to be Hugh Laurie or do you think maybe he had a decades long career before House where he used his real accent and yet was engaged in a mysterious second thing that took other skills.
I dont know why multiple people apparently think I'm suggesting actors don't DO it or that it isn't a skill, I'm not saying that. I'm saying it is not, of itself, acting. Because it isn't. Being a good mimic doesn't mean you can act.

Truly great bad movies have to be sincere. It's a genuine attempt to communicate by a strange, incompetent man and that's what makes it entertaining. The actual worst movies ever are the ones that are soulless and bad, and thus incompetent without being entertaining. Plan 9 and the Room are more fun to watch than a lot of big budget shit.
It says he never has not that he is unable to. I'm sure he'd be able to write an email just fine considering he's a writer and it is a trivially easy concept to master.
