Better late than never. I picked my up for a steal about 35 dollars on ebay after some negotiating. I've seen prices range from 60-75.

That's not exactly accurate, because that's specifically the reason he doesn't consider Twin Snakes cannon. It's still a "Metal Gear" game.
Of course Kojima didn't make it, he also didn't make rising, babel, or twin snakes. They are still Metal Gear games. They are not cannon.

You mean to say is that it is not part of what Kojima considers to be cannon. This is definitely part of the MGS series, licensed by Konagi.
If by good moral compass you mean, act completely belligerent about others ideas and ignorant of basic science then yeah its is great.
