We all deserve love. As frustrated as I get, hating on so many people, we still all deserve love.
While it's been a cultural icon my whole life, it's also always been a symbol of small town economic decline. Yeah, and I also watched 'Cars' over a hundred tiimes with my kids, so the narrative is pretty ingrained...
A little top down cleaning could do the trick. Now that's the kind of trickle down economics I could get behind.

Our people, if we could be loosely identified as the open-minded and genuinely empathetic, are generally quiet, demure and respectful by nature, will make ourselves known when it matters.

One of my best friends with a declared non-binary kid. It's the first time I've had to be conscious of using they/them pronouns. I find it awkward, but I'm willing to make the effort, why wouldn't I? They're literally my best friends child, and I've got nothing but love for them. Both of them.
