AHH hahaha they won't be living that down for a while but I will say people should not be arriving illegally to the UK via boat to claim asylum. If you pass through several safe countries to do so you are just an illegal migrant not an asylum seeker.
Lord knows he has stepped into a mess from the previous administration of NYC. A budgetary shortfall of 12 billion is going to be challenging to fix while I don't agree with a lot of his policy and plans I'm still rooting for a man who has the interests of the average citizens over the select elite. Hopefully whatever measures of austerity have to be rolled out don't dampen his support base. You have to fix the broken things before you can improve them.
Congratulations keep at it I hope to follow in your footsteps in the new year. Most I have managed so far is 6 months but all it took was a night out and a couple of pints and I was back on the cigs. Being a parent isn't a job it's who you are and when sending your child somewhere to be educated while you earn money to provide for your family you should be informed of changes in your child's behaviour.

You misunderstand me I'm talking about the schools responsibility to inform the parents I'm not making a commentary on parenting I'm well aware there are good ways and bad ways to approach your child having questions about identity and sexuality. The fact remains that it's not the schools place to keep these things from parents unless there is a genuine concern for the child.
And if a kid wants to tattoo Pokémon to their face that's ok as well I guess rite? I'm not sure if you remember being a teen but you are literally insane hormone soup. There is a reason you can't get tattoos under 18 or drink. hell a lot of stuff. Do you know why? Because your brain has not fully developed and your judgment on the permanence of decisions is crap. When a person is an adult they are free to do as they please but as a child the parents should be kept informed. I know people who thought they were trans and then decided later in life they were just gay.

Living a lie eats a person like cancer and if the child is comfortable enough to presenting as another gender than biological at school they are out and hiding it from their parents. Regardless of how the parent may feel the school should have a responsibility to notify parents of drastic changes in student behaviour/attitude. I would say a decision to be a different gender falls into that. I can tell a lot of the replies are people who don't even have kids. Until you are an adult you are the responsibility of your parent like it or not they should be informed.
They 100% can. Just don't be surprised when the hypocrisy of those choices gets pointed out. As for keeping it to my self.. No I don't think I will. With each passing day this place turns into more and more of an echo chamber some of you need to touch grass

If you are going to avoid using any service product that does something you disagree with you are going to have to live off grid and substance farm. Your power destroys the environment as does waste disposal. Apple still have sweatshops in china, nestle are still causing people to go without water for crops and exploiting workers as does Amazon. Let me see what else the transition surgery/medication that is paid for by tax payers in the UK if through the NHS. Again my point is of a live and let live nature but the screeching minority is giving every one else in the community a bad name.
