I was thinking something similar about What Dreams May Come.
It was a manner of speech. Currently only 30ish % of people between 25 and 35 have a 4 year degree. It was even lower back then.

Most community colleges. So you can go for free for about 2 years and reduced for 2 more. There are also incentives for STEM students.
In SC any student that graduates with a B or higher in high school and attends an in-state school gets 5k per year.Covers tuition at 1/2
Usually parents have to cosign the loan if it's not issued by the government, with a few exceptions. So adults should be guiding them.
Not to mention community college is about 2500 a semester. College is affordable. When Yale was 2500 almost no one went to college.

There is also no reason a union needs compulsory dues. They could just serve on volunteer donations like other non-profits.
A union is not the only way to ensure workers get what they need. I believe people should have the freedom to unionize or not unionize. 1/
But if people are forced to join a union they don't want, it's not a union either.
I don't think you understand. This isn't a government entity. You shouldn't be taxed. It's a voluntary union of workers. Key word: voluntary
I don't think unions are bad. I just think they shouldn't be compulsory.
