on ultra i have 120-80.. sometimes it just drops all the way when a grenade explodes in my FOV

Before I quit, I played a decent amount on my Titan X. Before optimizations the game didn't care what card or processor you had, it ran bad.

I run a 1060 6GB on ultra, it's mostly smooth, I even get screen tearing in some areas, and then there's the damn 30 fps areas

Might be your CPU bottlenecking in this case tbh given we have same cards and different experiences (i7 7700K CPU)

It’s poorly optimized, so the cpu is much more important than normal. I have the same gpu as my friend but only get half the frame rates.

I have a 7820X, 1080Ti and 32GB Ram. The Game runs from an M2.SSD and I get 80FPS+ on 4K... might be the SSD that you need

My 970 runs it flawlessly, maybe you have other issues? I had a bad PSU at one point causing weird issues like frame rate problems.

It doesn't look this good because it's a downsampled gif, probably with frame interpolation. Say NO to gifs setting impossible standards.

Don't know if they've fixed it yet but pubg had some fps issues on NVIDIA cards. There's a solution somewhere on the net.

Setting a hard limit of 60fps will help keep it smooth, you're likely noticing due to high frames to low frames

Same! My mobo had a preset for it. Slapped an H100i cooler on there and I get great temps.
