#Old #Lordoftherings

I'm 39 and have a salt and peppery beard so if a place checks everyone's ID I just point at the beard. works 100% of the time, everytime

I get carded for tobaco at 35

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is UP with that title though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dark have been my dreams of late.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always think that this is Robert Plant, at first glance.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The grocery store I work at has a liquor section, if they don't card, no matter your age, the cashier can get fired.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I ask because I could lose my job if you're a minor. So, if I'm not %100 sure, you're getting carded

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck off. I'm turning 39 this month.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont mind. Im 35 and got carded for an r rated movie a couple weeks ago

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But then again, it takes me 3 days to grow a 5 o clock shadow

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

don't let it go to your head; many retailers are told to check even if they have white beards and a walker.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you go to walgreens, you could be a WWII vet, in uniform, on D-Day, and I would still have to ask for ID because of a company policy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus FUCK that's a cool effect. So smooth that it's pretty hard (imo) notice spell being lifted. It's just "*BOOM* he's young wtf???"

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Except for the magic shave.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In most states, it's actually a fineable offense for the Store if they don't card ANYONE.. even if you look like you're 90 and halfway dead.

Hey I feel you. I'm 24 and my students thought I was in my 30s or 40s.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take the compliment.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're so old it looks like a bad disguise.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I had a lady at a gas station ask me if my parents were ok with me getting coffee so late, I was a 20 year old guy driving back from college

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For everyone: if you are in the US alot of states require you to have an ID ON YOUR PERSON, doesn't matter your age

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I once been carded at an "over 30s" party. I blushed like a debutante.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At 49, I'm trying so hard to not give the clerk a hard time about it (point at kids, gray hairs, etc). If they don't check, fired or fined.

Thank you <3

I don't get carded at my local liquor stores because I'm a borderline alcoholic and they all know who I am.

9 years ago | Likes 380 Dislikes 2

I've only been in my local store twice, never carded when I'm clearly the youngest person in line.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"borderline"

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Only have a drinking problem if can't find a drink.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah, I go to different stores, all recognize me.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mine too! Daughter just started at the corner store and mom goes, "He's fine. He's here every 3 days..."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"I don't have a drinking problem. I drink, I get drunk, I fall down, no problem!"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Work at a liqor store, you go to the store three times a day ordering between 3-10 shot bottles of booze?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was carded by the owners of the local liquor store the first half a dozen times... then they just knew me :/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So you go where everybody knows your name?

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

And everybody's glad you came?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not quite, but I'm 235 lb. bald meathead with a weak beard, so I'm kinda recognisable :p

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Username... Checks out?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think so but I try :3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I totally read that as methhead and refuse to unsee it XD.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fat tweakers are like unicorns

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a cashier...hee hee heee..."borderline"...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

so you know? asking for a friend.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've classified it into different groups of alcoholics, among them "functioning", "fun", and "self destructive". The latter are the worst.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ain't drinking alone is your dog is home

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's not a problem if you can afford it.

9 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 5

You're an inspiration.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Username on point?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately not. I have modest piles of spare change though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When the checkout girl tells me my whiskey is bae v

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well if you're a woman, that's a compliment.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 8

I'm particularly bad at telling peoples' ages. I've been off by 10+ years in both directions. I don't even try anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel ya. Especially groups of mid 20s folks who look like they could be 16 or 40. Once got asked if a balding friend was my uncle.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I went to a play while I was in highschool, and the ticket salemen asked my 16 year old friend if she qualified for senior citizen discounts

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She had back problems that made the question sort of understandable, but still! It was awkward.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a barman i often ask people for cards just to make them smile

9 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 2

My 21st birthday not a single place carded me, got almost a little sad because I wanted to use my newfound powers. Felt like I looked old :c

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Especially when out with friends. Gloat for glee!

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Oh man, a bunch of my coworkers in their late 30s were out and the waiter carded them all but one lady. That poor 17 yo sap..

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

calm down, they're just doing it in case you're a cop.

9 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 4

Basically yeah. In my state we have to card under 40. People still take it as a compliment when I tell them that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not cops. They actually hire mystery shoppers with orders to not carry ID on them and attempt to buy cigarettes or alcohol. If they 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sell it to you without asking for ID (or ask for ID and sell it to you anyway when you can't provide it) they fail. You go to the manager 2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

on duty and have them sign a document certifying if they passed or failed. Then submit the signed documents and the receipt (you have to 3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

buy something and get reimbursed). They recruit shoppers for this who are under 24 or 25. I used to do it years ago.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any ideas where one could sign up for this program?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahhhh, got ya. So when i say i am a cop, to hopefully not be carded. Thats prolly why they card me. New tactic time, don't be a cop. Check.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

the system works. kinda.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have to card because the plaza does sting operations to catch bad practices

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still take it as a compliment

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have to id anyone who"could be below 40" That means I id people who can obviously legally buy their smokes and get hostile with me over it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't been carded for liquor ever. Even when I was 16/17.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whet do you live?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yikes, autocorrect... 'Where'

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oklahoma. Everybody's drunk or methed out of their minds here.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually stopped being carded when I turned 18.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

v when you don't get carded

9 years ago | Likes 994 Dislikes 0

Then they finally want to card you, for the senior discount, but you're not that old.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in 22 amd wasnt carded. i was offended and demanded he card me lest i would have to assume he just let minors buy anything.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I'm 25 and don't get carded anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just turned 21 today. Drinking alone tonight because I have work tomorrow. Whoo.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Happy birthday

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Happy birthday fam

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Happy Birthday!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't get carded even though I'm only 18.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had both responses, I'm 32 and got asked saying I have a young face, so time I said are you going to ID me been told I look young "lol"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always thought that transition was really impressive..

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm 27. I have rarely been carded since I turned 21. Feels bad man

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you've been acting old as a ruse to finally catch the grim reaper.

9 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 0

"Clickety clack! Get into my sack!"

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

And now that's my facebook banner. No idea why.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

As a warning. A man who jovially sacks Mr.Rattlebones is no man to be trifled with.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I must now absolutely find a way to incorporate "clickity clack get into my sack" into a DnD campaign

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

what the fuck is that from?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Fables 11

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Aaaaaaaand... Any chance at context?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's Jack of Fables (the bean stalk, the candlestick, and basically any Jack related stories) he won a sack that could hold anything

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh I saw a movie about this when I was younger, it was so weird but good at the same time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you don't get carded even after shaving to make yourself look younger

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've personally never been carded. lol although I never tried to buy alcohol etc BUT I did buy lottery tickets.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I got carded for them at 34... thought I've been able to buy these nearly half my life.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am 37 and I still get carded. I got carded for spray paint the other day. I look like a grown man baby and can't grow facial hair

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

That guy is amazing

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm 22. Never been carded. I've had a beard for the past 4 years.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I look about twelve, but I never get carded because I buy from the same two places about twice a week.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get carded in the states (47) but most annoyingly I was refused beer in TN cause I didn't have US id! Wtf? Tourist aren't allow drink now?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a great way to get your liquor licence revoked by an undercover cop if you serve with no I.D.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And most owners don't train employees on all 97 foreign I.D.s

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was a British passport. I have been going over for 25 years and 1st time my passport has ever been refused for not being American I'D.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you can, but some people are untrained and/or dickheads

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I rarely get carded and I have been buying alcohol since I was 18. (Fake ID)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've only been carded a handful of times since I was legal. It's low-key depressing. I could have been buying alcohol for so much longer!
