Kailem Barwick, who passed away from cancer last week, was treated to the adventure in June on his friend’s property in Condobolin, central NSW.

The clip was taken during a dying man’s last wish to go on a boar-hunting trip with his mates. Pictured above is Kailem's friend Grieg Tonkin who came to the rescue of his trapped dog.

“Kailem would be looking down from up there and laughing because it was the highlight of the trip,”

Just days before he passed away, Kailem married his girlfriend, Brandi-Lee Wadwell, in a small ceremony by his hospital bed on November 27.

“You shall be mine and I shall be yours for forever and a day. I love you,” he said in his vows during the ceremony.

On December 1, Kailem lost his two year battle to Ewing Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer

Holy shit. that's a great story. What a send off!

Very sad. But why is he half naked, me wonders.

Beautiful yet heartbreaking. So young. My thoughts are with you all. Treasure all the amazing memories.

Wait... the kangaroo was scratching the dog's neck to blood? WTF?

Yeah, I think there may be a neckerchief there too but they're pretty vicious https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2016/05/kanga_roo_01.gif

Yes. It was such an unbelievable backstory. ... I guess those are often true since life is so messed up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Will do, as soon as I figure out how...

Disclaimer: straight up copy past but just wanted people to know about the story

Enough of that, highly appreciated. Good find, comments seem to be confirming. Thank you.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dont worry dogg, you got da word out +1

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Wtf! How did a silly gif of a guy punching a kangaroo turn into a cancer man marrying his wife on his death bed? This is advanced memeing.

9 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 2

Because the guy who died was on a trip with the guy who punched the roo. Not too hard to understand.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

(It's a joke.)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not a good one

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yeah I'm a little confused.

Yeah I'm a little confused.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What's confusing? (serious question, not condescension)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in January of this year when I woke up half paralyzed. It had located in my spine. (1/2$

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I was so lucky it did not metastasize. So if you have chronic unexplainable back pain (was misdiagnosed 6 times for the year before) (⅔)

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Please get make sure they do a pet scan. Fighting cancer is tough. Learning to walk and pee again while fighting cancer is even worse.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You can do it. For me a walker helped a lot with regaining my balance. Fucked the hell out of my carpet but worth it.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've been in remission since October, and am now to a cane! So I'm getting there! Same on the walker tho. A bitch on flooring lol.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Congratulations on reaching remission and graduating to a cane

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A major warning sign for me before the paralysis sat in was sneezing and feeling like I'd licked a battery but all over.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hope your recovery is going well and quickly! Thanks for the encouragement <3

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck cancer.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This shit is horrible, but if that was me, I would want my wife to move on one day, not stay a widower for the rest of her life.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

She might. Some take months, some take years or decades. In my experience worst thing you can do is rush someone's grieving process

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't realize you weren't allowed to not wear black and mourn forever after your spouse dies!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Same. My brother was engaged when put into a coma by a car wreck. After a year, we pled with his fiance to move on, though we loved her too.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

She can't stay a widower...not unless she has a sex change anyway.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I'm not sure what to think of the idea of getting married knowing one of them is about to die.

9 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 5

'Til death do us part.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd think it's all about making the guy as happy as possible despite the shit-encrusted hand he's been dealt.

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Terminal illness fast tracks things thar may have taken years. Prob made them feel closer to each other. Cancer can't take that away.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here. I'm in a 9 years relationship, but if I was in his situation, I'd want her to get married and continue her life.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Until death do us part. She can remarry no problem. She's just doing something nice for a man she loves.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

To each their own, but I excluded til death do us part from my wedding. I couldn't ever see myself marrying another man than my husband.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whether it's omitted or not it's an acceptable practice for the most part.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. I would WANT him to find someone else if anything ever happened to me, but if I lost him, I don't see myself being happy again.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of times in situations like this its because of legal reasons & theyve been together for a long time and just never legally gt married

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I was wondering that too. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

could be insurance too

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

If it was me dying, I wouldn't want her to go through that. But if she was terminally ill, I would marry her in a heartbeat

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

so if you had the right partner, they would think the same and not let you die without that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I also think it's a little weird.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

It's REALLY weird... what does the dying person think their wife/husband will do after they finally pass?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

All sorts of boring legal reasons. I'm not doubting their love but governments and insurance companies need that legal paper.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ewing Cancer survivor here.. shit strong as hell, 5% rate of survival and barely made it. Sad he couldnt :/

9 years ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 1

So glad to hear you made it. Just saw an incredibly strong and vibrant man in his twenties be taken by it this year. Best to you.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I knew 2 people who died from it. Nice to know some of you tough bastards were able to beat it.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

My husband had it too. He didn't make the 5%, he was 24. Shit sucks.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Its definitively terrible. In the hospital I was (children hospital). Almost all the ones in my area.. died.. I was the only one who beat it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not Ewing but lost a former classmate to Osteosarcoma a common bone cancer. 70% survival rate....and he was the 30%. Died at 24. Fuck cancer

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They've done studies & sadly people over 16 tend to not get as aggressive treatment, which is why many die. A lot depends on the oncologist

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was 9 when they started to treat me.. trust me.. they threw everything they could in my case. Kinda pays off.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am glad you made it. My older brother had this thing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My bf was diagnosed this summer with stage 4 Ewing 's. He's 24. This shit sucks. Glad to hear of a survivor! Keep on, keeping on!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My husband was 24 when he passed from it. If either of y'all want to talk PM me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was diagnosed when I was 8.... They threw everything they could and barely made it. Kinda scary when they say your intestines are melting.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a bit of an extra twinge when I saw the type. Mine was soft tissue, the more survivable variant.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

17 year Ewing's survivor here. Two relapses, titanium femur, partial lung removal, one rib removed, and open chest surgery. It's a beast. 1

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don't give up hope if you're living through it. 2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

shit man, and I tough having an almost completely burned upper leg (by radiation) with almost no muscle and bone mass was bad.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then, I only had 9 surgeries myself. But some of then included my cochlear implant (lost all hearing on both sides)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My best friend died from Ewing cancer. He almost beat it but when it came back it was too aggressive

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But I'm happy to hear that others like you have survived, I hope you live forever.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That exact thing happened to my husband. He lived four-ish days after they told us it was back

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0
