I can usually tell when a driver wants to merge into my lane for whatever reason. I typically do not let them over if they are not using their blinkers, and will speed up to match if they begin to accelerate to go ahead of me. People who only flick their blinkers on once at the same time they merge drive me up the wall. It's not hard to flash your blinkers until you turn. Why waste the effort to turn them back off? Yea sure, some ppl will be dicks and not let you over even when you have them on , but come on, signal the rest of the good drivers. End rant.

FP Edit 2: For everyone who has messaged me saying how what I'm doing is a dick move; you are correct, and I am not defending that (hence the confession meme). Could I not speed up and let them merge? Totally. Do I prevent merges all the time? No, only when the roads are clear and never in much traffic. If I see someone using their blinkers, I will 99% of the time slow down and let them over. Fighting fire with fire doesn't always work obviously, but I still stand by my message; Put your goddamned blinkers on.
