Driver doesn’t notice a puppy when parking out. But is saved in time.

Surveillance footage shows the collie outside playing fetch with her owner and two of her canine pals. A woman is then seen walking over to her vehicle and quickly backing out of a driveway. In that same moment the chihuahua tries to run over to his collie friend, but was unable to get through the snow fast enough. Within a matter of seconds, the collie rushed to the dog's rescue, snatching him off the ground and out of the way of the SUV. The incredible moment took place in Gaspé City in Québec, Canada.

Good Doggy!

Fake.

Saw this a day or so ago without the circle. Didn't need it.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I wondered WHY the description is so LONG... then saw Quebec... The other Canada.

What a delicious snack. I would hate for it to be flattened by this car before I devour it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone originally from Quebec, can confirm the worst drivers in Canada reside there. After moving to Toronto I found a close 2nd too

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Canadians are the best. From US here.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was the Canadian thing to do......

@OP, there's a longer GIF. Try posting that instead.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it’s an Australian Shepherd and that’s its puppy.

7 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Ive seen a hawk do the same thing for a rabbit

7 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

That is so sweet. Animals love eachother SOOO much!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the dog version of that

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ummm...that's a fucking puppy... i heard the onion or fox news was hiring writing staff...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Again on FP?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The way she stopped I don't think the neighbor would have hit the dog. But, it's the thought that counts.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

looks fake

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Superhero action right there

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The car also wasn't going to hit the puppy either. The pup was on the other side of the passenger side tire. Still cute.

7 years ago | Likes 295 Dislikes 21

Let's put your kid/future kid in the puppy's position, would you just sit back and say, nah the car won't hit the baby...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The baby would have had~ 6 feet bubble of safety. If I thought the car was going for a reverse j turn then we'd be talking.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want to get technical the mother brought the pup back to the path of a moving vehicle. I'd ridicule any parent stupid enough.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, uh, the dog should not only be smart enough to save the pup, but also smart enough to predict where the car will end up?

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Well, it's the thought that counts.

7 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Don't be too hard on senict. Just copy/pasted it from another website.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah but I'd rather have my dog be in super-careful mode than wait-and-see mode

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

If these were humans, the collie would have taken out his cell phone and recorded it

7 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 11

Humans are trash

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

There are loads of videos of super dads and moms saying otherwise.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It says surveillance footage, can you read?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Yes, but I don't think you can.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Why are you so cynical? That seems a depressing way to live a life.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Not cynical at all, just calling it like I see it.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

You're seeing it in a cynical way... so you're cynical

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

No, I'm seeing it exactly how it happens. Just because it's sad, doesn't make the observer cynical. The sky isn't red bc I want it to be.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Not supporting his view but wouldn't it be sad dystopia where the cynical view is the norm.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for that circle, I was staring at the tree...

7 years ago | Likes 463 Dislikes 7

That tree was pretty cool though

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

K, I laughed so hard at this comment. Thank you for making me smile.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

What tree? Please circle it

7 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

what circle? please mark it

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

What mark? Please point to it.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

What what? please mark it

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

What what in the butt

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

this makes my heart so incredibly happy

7 years ago | Likes 759 Dislikes 3

Collie reaching deep into those Shepard dog instincts. "Protect the flock. Even the weird lamb that goes bork"

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mini dog was already past the wheel path and back more then far enough.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

And who plays fetch in the middle of the road.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dogs don’t have that kind of judgement though. It’s a miracle the BC even realized there was a threat. I think it’s noteworthy either way

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Agreed, owner should be investigated for putting them in this situation.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Collies are just pretty amazing creatures.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Owners are pretty stupid creatures.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not a chihuahua

7 years ago | Likes 571 Dislikes 8

That dog just ate a cat

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You’re not a chihuahua

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Big dog could be Australian Shepherd. Not sure what the small one is, or if it’s a pup

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Looks like Border Collie pup

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Looks like a piggy

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, but wanted to add that a dog that small is likely wearing a jacket in that weather. That could effect body shape.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As the description said the bigger dog was playing with a chihuahua who tried running over to the pup but was stuck in the snow. So the 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bigger dog (Aus Shep/Collie) raced over to grab the little guy out of the cars way 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. Not a chance.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Looks like a French bulldog

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Oh then it would have escaped on it's own

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure that's not a collie either.

7 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 4

Border Collie

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is actually a reenactment with actor dogs. Due to budget constraints, they could not get actors with the original breeds to do it.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Aussie and a pup it seems

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I think it is a border collie (or Australian shepherd.)

7 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Border collie (blue merle color pattern).

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the original post it goes on a little further and the hero dog definitely has that Aussie stance. Source: all I had growing up were aus's

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Definitely an Australian Shepherd

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Absolutely an Aussie. Also known as the best dogs ever!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Docked tail - Aussie Shepherd

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope. The bigger one is def an Aussie.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

I thought it was just a tiny baby version of the big one and they were both border collies.
