I saw a bumper sticker with Tump holding a gas pump (laughable in its own right, cause that ghoul has never once pumped gas) and it said “miss me yet?”… now obviously that was from Biden’s term, when the driver cared about high gas prices and laid that blame at the foot of POTUS… Now I don’t expect them to change their views when they could just warp their reality to ignore high gas prices moving forward… but I am shocked that they didn’t quietly scrape this sticker off the back of their truck.

Driving for those companies was never a money maker anyway. If you factor in car maintenance, downtime, all that jazz. You're way better working for fuckin Domino's. But sucks for your friend, I'm not trying to say it doesn't... I'm just also knowing someone in my life currently who does doordash and idk how to convince them not to keep it as a job even though it's fucking them. Coincidentally, I did have to help pour a Jerry can into their tank the other day

I think the only way to make food delivery like Doordash and Ubereats profitable these days is to use a bike. Cause jeez, these gas prices.

He made decent money. Enough to cover groceries, or a utility bill, etc. Did a lot of evening airport runs and weekend safe rides. But the rates are so high now, people aren’t using it like they used to. The gas prices were the final straw. Trump is destroying everything.

It depends, on a lot of factors. I do some rural deliveries so I drive further than others. So I'll get like $40 to drive 20 miles, 40 miles total. I can write off $0.76 per mile, so only taxed on $10 of income, so $3. $37, it costs $1.30 in electricity for that distance, 35.70. Depreciation on my car is about 0.13/mile(being conservative), 5.20, 30.50. Tires are about 0.02/mile, so $0.80, 29.70.
If I had a gas car it would cost a lot more.

I used to deliver pizza for dominoes in a college town - in busy nights I often made $200 in tips, $250 on crazy nights.
Long days - 3pm to 3am, but I’d make $70 from my hourly + $120 to 200 reliably

Yeah I did my stint there and Ass Man closer was really nice, paid out mileage for driving people home when it was slow, etc. Like I hate to say it because corps suck but you can make really good money driving for pizza chains, better than fuckin Uber eats. Just take care of your car

And dominoes gave me 50 cents per delivery for mileage and I would often take 3-5 deliveries tl the same dorm a mile away lol
Plus the private place charged a delivery fee thar customers often thought was my tip so I got stiffed all the time
