I've definitely become more of a fan of thicker bodied guitars. Just recently bought a Jag HH off a buddy and it sounds much fuller than my Ibanez S series that has the same pickups.
That's a gorgeous guitar. I hear they are on the heavy side. It may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to.
