If it ever happens in this country, this, THIS is how we'll get rid of guns in America. Not because gun fondlers suddenly put civic responsibility above their toys. Not because anti-gun storm troopers kick in doors and confiscate. Guns will fade away from our culture when people find them embarrassing, and willfully disassociate from them. Like cigarettes. Like Meta glasses.
I disagree. Donald Trump has virtually zero grasp of anything, as he had demonstrated time and time again. I liken him to a poorly homeschooled 13-year old boy who failed to study today's lesson, and who thinks he can fake it.
Did not at all like Obama's reliance on drone warfare and 'acceptable casualties'. Did not like his continued persecution of Edward Snowden. Didn't like that he broke a campaign promise and kept Abu Ghraib open. Thought a president chiming in with opinions on local matters set a terrible precedent that Trump fully exploits. But hoo boy, I wish we had him back in office now.
Fun riddle: what's worse than a Nazi? A: The single group of people in the whole world who know oppression better than anyone, who then precisely emulated their murderers. (Trick question because before 2023 we thought they were survivors and heroes.)

Why is everyone's default configuration still a single hard drive stuffed into the middle of their desktop computer? This doesn't apply to laptops of course, but I've been using a drawer for my primary hard drive since the 80486 days, even easier now with SSD's and SATA. Don't touch the content of your current drive, just pull it out and insert another. Whole new OS, applications task-specific. Win10, Win11, spindle drives for backups. And at some point, Linux with no risk.
