I believe it makes excellent fertilizer in the right soil. Depends if what you are growing needs acidic or alkali soil. I have a bean-to-cup machine that produces small hockey puck shaped compressed grounds in a bin and I looked into what plants they would be good for.

The UK is the only country to have developed satellite launch capability and then give it up. In the late 60s/early 70s the UK built a launch rocket that had a couple of failures but one successful launch of a satellite into orbit. But the US told the UK it would give them free launches on US rockets if they scrapped the UK rocket. So the UK did, and the US then went back on its offer. The last remaining rocket is in the London Science Museum. UK rocket tech then became part of the Arianne.

I personally installed two split units in my house. There is nothing "complicated" about it. Condensation pipes do not need to be "plumbed in". They're a plastic tube you feed out the wall alongside the refrigerant pipes and the electrical wire. Legally if the unit uses an F Gas refrigerant the work has to be done by a qualified fitter but mine uses a non-F Gas and so is easily done by any half decent DIYer. The reason few have done it so far is our weather rarely justified it.
In fact, installing a mini split in the UK is probably EASIER that installing one in the US. You don't need any permit, as long as you follow the rules you just install it, and you don't need any new electrical wiring, just plug it in. (If you are one of the few people who do live in a listed historical building then you would need planning permission, but those are rare and rarely prevent instalation)
80% of houses in the UK are less than a century old. And 99.9% of older houses have modern electrical wiring, and again in the UK when you install a mini split you just plug it in to the nearest outlet. No new wiring. Only a multi split, or a very powerful single, would need new wiring. With historical buildings electric is not the issue, but even then adding a heat pump to the modernised part of the home is perfectly fine. And the number of "historical" homes with restrictions is very small.
You think UK electrical wiring has not been updated in the last hundred years? I know quite a few people who live in four hundred year old houses. I know one friend whose ceilings are so low I can only just stand up in his dining room. Sitting at the dinner table I can reach up and touch the ceiling. Yet the people I know who live in old houses happily have 3kw kettles, induction cookers, multifunction ovens, electric showers etc etc. Plugging a 12k BTU mini split in is nothing.
To be fair Scotland is cold so they don't need AC and Wales doesn't have electricity yet so.....
The UK electrical system is 230v/13A and far more powerful than the US 110v system. Our standard electric kettles we use for making tea are 3000w. A mini split up to 12,000 BTU just plugs into a standard outlet.
Some people have portable units in the UK, but window units are almost unknown. Most modern houses have side hinged windows not the sash windows that window AC uses. But mini splits and multi splits are becoming far more common, especially as they heat in cold weather very efficiently.

Yep, I use Phone LInk so any texts, photos etc on my phone appear on my PC. Also you can be on your phone, tablet or PC and Edge will let you send a link to Edge on any of your other devices. However, they used to have Drop which let you send photos, documents, files etc to another device but they just killed that and replaced it with a feature that uses OneDrive instead. Typical Microsoft. They have a great feature, so they kill it off and replace it with something worse.
Plus the fact that a lot of American companies thrive on exports to those countries....

I bought a pack of small, silver, holographic, "QC Tested" stickers. Every USB stick, device and cable I own has one of those stickers on the same side, the side with the plastic insert in the plug. And every USB socket I have has the same sticker on the same side. Means I get it right first time every time.
With the Kei truck you can drop the sides of the bed and load a pallet with a forklift from the side.

The problem is the USA does not have a right wing party and a left wing party. It has a right wing party and a VERY right wing party. Most UK Conservatives would be Democrats in the US policy wise. UK Conservatives legalised gay marriage, had the most out gay MPs in Parliament, and the only trans MP, support the NHS, built a huge solar and offshore wind industry, ended burning coal for electricity, are not trying to ban abortion, birth control etc.

As a Brit the US system is insane. For one paid sick leave here is a right, and for another we all get universal healthcare either way. In fact if you are unemployed (or a child, retired or on benefits) you don't have to pay the standard $12 prescription charge in England.

Turned out a Turkish diplomat was handing out Turkish passports to Jewish people to let them escape. Pro tip. In a real emergency if you have no signal on your phone and cannot make a call try calling 911 (or 999, 112, whatever your country uses). In most places by law cellphone companies must let 911 calls use any tower, not just their own network. So your Verizon phone may have no Verizon signal but there may be a T Mobile tower it can use.
