I pick up new things very quickly but only to the point where I have a working knowledge of it. I do have expertise in a couple of subjects but because I find pretty much everything extremely interesting I've never really stuck with one hobby and established myself as extremely well versed in it. I just know a great deal about many, many things...and am convinced that I don't know anything well enough.

A guy I know was CEO of System1 back when they decided to purchase MapQuest. He really loved the idea of them owning a piece of Internet history. It got sold off so cheaply he said they would have been crazy not to buy it and it seemed like such a fun idea. Cool guy.

Queue the Trump administration claiming Canada is a s$#thole country being destroyed by a liberal government and they need to take over to save us from ourselves.

Yeah, he's only got beef with Trump when Trump threatens to step on his toes. The rest of the time they're using similar instruction books.

The next president will constantly be under fire for "wastefully" renaming things and using taxpayer money to "attack Trump's legacy".

They're one step away from dubbing vaccinated people "mudbloods"

Mapquest got purchased a while ago by System1. I knew the guy who was the CEO at the time and he arranged the purchase simply because he thought it would be funny to own an Internet relic.

I have a group of friends who started greeting each other that way after the movie came out. It's been over 40 years and they really only see each other once a year now at "The Annual Pre-Christmas Pi$$up" but they still greet each other the same way every time.

Yes, the old "I suffered so others shouldn't have it any better than I did" argument.

I would expect their only response will be to blame "the government", without any thought to what that means.

She is a member of the crazy group that complains about their opponents having the "woke mind virus"...and with those folks every accusation is a confession.

Right, 'cause we should totally take the word of a conservative nutbag trying to stir the pot against another conservative nutbag.

I signed up for an electronics repair newsletter a while ago. Each week I get an email featuring the repairs of 4 or 5 things that came into the shops of repair guys just like this, in various countries. It's incredibly refreshing to watch them repair simple items like Bluetooth speakers, and hair clippers, that many North Americans would have to replace with a few clicks on Amazon because there are no repair options.

Not the greatest comic but a fun read if you're Canadian.

I must admit I do wonder what might wean them off. While many of them are clearly lowlifes I suspect they can't choose to change what they are attracted to any more than the rest of us could simply choose to be straight or gay. They need to control their actions but certainly it would be more difficult to control their thoughts. Surely there must be some out there that are traumatized by knowing that what they are attracted to is awful and they would want to do something about it.

We got a good view of those buns in Stay Hungry (1976) but I believe that is all we've been graced with. Frankly her smile is what always enthralled me.

A Pita place in my area modified their menu so that their chicken caesar could not be modified. You couldn't add extra toppings because the staff were having trouble rolling them. I thought it was a stupid rule until I watched this.

My house was built in the 60's and I think the electrician was a madman. One breaker will do items all over the house. No order or noticeable organization. I put a GFCI in my kitchen and discovered half the garage was on the same circuit. The labels on the panel are way too small to document everything on the breaker. I wound up drawing a floor plan and marking every light, receptacle, and even switches on the floor plan with a breaker number beside it.

#26 I'm 6' 4" and getting far too close to 250lbs. Whenever a client offers me coffee I take great delight in saying "No thanks, I was told it might stunt my growth".

I wonder if this also tracks ALPR cameras that are privately owned, but managed via a cloud provider. I know of several businesses in my area with ALPR cameras. While they may not be participating in larger programs we certainly don't know what their cloud storage provider is doing with the data.

Once again we see a person's views being passed as facts and evidence. While I agree with Anthony, the only credentials we're given here are the fact that his sister thinks he's smart and the fact that he's always in front of a computer monitor is supposed to confirm that. Great way to build an echo chamber. This is how the Trump supporters do things.

#23 I think about this too. It would be so amazing. A young cashier at one of my customers was talking about how much he loves Nintendo stuff but can't afford it. I recently found a Gameboy Advance at an eWaste centre while I was getting rid of some electronics. I love tinkering with things so I pocketed it. I got it working, retrobrited the case to get it white again, and gave it to him. It was a pretty small thing but it made his day. I feel like I really want to keep doing stuff like that.

How sad is it that my inner voice had me wondering if the car was actually being towed...because of the sticker.
