Whether that's called a "marriage certificate" or not isn't the point. The point is that Adam & Eve never did anything like what is currently called marriage, and neither did most other people until fairly recently.
I think that's the point. They want to claim the "traditional family structure" is eternal and unchanging, when in fact our current "normal" is pretty modern.
