The Tories for sure. They lost the plot administering austerity and only got worse since. The Tories very consciously separated themselves from parties like the CDU, it was a campaign promise from Cameron.But yes, the right wing turn is happening in most places. And it's not a pleasant thing.
So well aligned, but "ahead" of everyone else? That hardly spells "broadly in line" to me. Like the GOP is in many ways aligned with the most extreme parties in Europe, Sadly we are catching up to them, it's a stain on us. But them being broadly in line with the rest of comparative countries is just incorrect.

I believe in per capita terms the Danes lost the most troops out of all the US allies in Afghanistan. And the orange turd has been a real cunt to them too. Regardless of one's opinion of the war (I was and am opposed), saying the allies did not show up for the US is total BS.

As for following the constitution's spirit, I'd do away with it and write a new one.
