Yeah, Google can often get you to the right genus, especially with multiple pictures, but it's rare to make a positive ID based solely on fruiting body appearance even when using a good field guide. I'm originally from the Great Plains and haven't been in Appalachia long, so I have a lot of new mushie species to learn about!
