It's about aesthetics. Fascists love aesthetics. Hugo Boss designed the SS uniforms. In this case, the Fascist knows society hates the KKK. They might even not be far enough down the rabbit hole that they themselves also hate the KKK. But they sure do love the optics of the fact that both KKKs were led by Democrats. Because then they can use that surface-level analysis to make the case that Dems are still the real racists and why are Black People voting blindly for the racist party?

I do think there's something to the joke that Donald Trump is America's first gay president. Loves makeup, won't shut up about Arnold Palmer's dick, has an irrational love for 'YMCA' by the Village People.
I often think of this image of him when I conjure him up in my mind. The picture says it all. The american flag belt buckle. The ill-fitting oxford shirt with the sleeves performatively rolled up. The tattoo peeking out. The chuds looking on. The act that means nothing, but is turned into a photo op.
It's called "Paramount needs money after eating two major studios." After this success, expect to see Batgirl get released.
Imagine being the only official to actually get impeached and removed out of this whole debacle.
10th amendment.
This would be a slam dunk 10th amendment case.

In Pennsylvania, a Senator cannot be recalled, no. A quirk of the 17th amendment transferring appointment authority from the State Government to the Electorate. Some states allow for recall elections. But it's not universal.
He voted to help facilitate the Biden admin. While it was important for all of its successes (and failures), he was one of 49 other senators who did that. To credit him with the bare minimum is to set the bar of expectations pretty low indeed.
Hmmm. While the outcome is uncompromisingly good, I'm leery that some of the justification was "because we ruled that Virginia can discriminate (and the federal government can't step in), then California is also allowed to not to (and the federal government can't step in)."
The pitch an AI salesmen makes to a hospital right now is not "buy my product and it'll improve your xray tech's detection rate." It's "you have 10 xray techs at your hospital. Buy my product, fire 9 of them, keep 40% of the savings, and when the lone tech messes up because he's looking at 10x the number of xrays, it's that guy's fault and not yours (or mine)."
Is it cheaper? Right now we're still in the VC-subsidized phase of the price model. Those investors are eventually going to want a return on their investment and they're eventually going to have to make money. From where I'm sitting, OpenAI is one of the most expensive products in the world right now. It's just that customers aren't entirely paying for it. Yet.
If we don't, then China will. And that's bad for some reason I can't tell.
I mean, his anti-trans stance was not the reason he didn't get nominated, but still, good to see Massachusetts understands the difference between really old and a Dinosaur.

I get it, but also, the villain of that movie is based on a famous Drag Queen. So do we really have to hold this movie up as a decent example of positive representation?

Yeah, I started watching him for his Adventure Time watch. After learning about him, I continued to only watch him for his Adventure Time watch (with adblock). And then he stopped posting Adventure Time content and so I stopped watching him completely. It was fun to see someone surprisingly media literate predict twists coming and pick up on foreshadowing, and yet be completely unable to understand the themes of the show.Well, that and it was an excuse for me to revisit the show.
She took an ad job playing on her body (as is her currency) that was rather ill-conceived. Her response to it was incredibly milquetoast because she knew her career would be over in a heartbeat if she became too political one way or another. She immediately then did a prestige gig that lightly pissed off conservatives (Christy) to even the score and carve out her middle-of-the-road status, politically. Again, I stress, because she had no other choice. She didn't want to become like Gina Carrano.
and it becomes fodder for the right-wing grievance network to activate in the face of all the "blue-hair feminazis."3. It's an election year and Republicans literally have nothing else to offer the electorate.
A few reasons. 1. Popularity and interest in the league is surging as the NBA is bleeding fans due to ticket price, playing the game boringly, & other miscellaneous decisions. With increased popularity comes increased scrutiny2. A real & tangible target of the conservative crusade to "protect women's sports" They see how pro-LGBT the league must be in order to attract talent/fans and see it as a victim of "gender ideology." Throw in a few controversies that particularly rustle their jimmies...
