Awesome. There does that count?

I have one that says no soliciting unless you're selling cookies. A lot of people ignore it but I give some credit to the guy who asked if he came back with cookies if I'd listen to his sales pitch. I've had slightly better lunch with a 18 inch wide sign that says PLEASE DO NOT KNOCK covered in dog prints. Either that or I've already worked through all the door to door sales people in the area.

I was a hillbilly cannibal extra in 2014! Fun way to spend a Saturday and is one of my go tos for 2 truths and a lie.

I've seen that for government data security standards even in 2010 but backwards. All other computers online, special offline ones locked in a room. I remember around 2005 one of my sister's drs being flabbergasted when she mentioned us having DSL that we had internet just all the time, that it wasn't something we had to turn on to connect and we hadn't gotten a 2nd phone line for dial up like she had.

Yeah I really hated the 10 pages I read. But apparently both the teachers and several classmates called my presentation insightful and more interesting than the kids who stood up there and summarized the same book that everyone 'read'.

I gave a 10 minute oral presentation on the evolution of language in Lord of the Flies specifically how it shifts as the children's perceptions of themselves evolve as the isolation continues and makes the reader complicit to their actions. I based it off of reading 4 random pages, one at the beginning, one in the middle, one almost at the end and then the final one at the end. I got an A. I only made it maybe 10 pages into the book except for those random sections.

I have no rhythm and bad knees. But I'm more than happy to learn to cook their dishes!

Don't threaten me with a good time!

The ones I know it's because they only listen to one news source that tells them specifically with no room for any kind of self questioning or doubt that all the problems in their life are not caused by him but rather by other people and he's the only reason it's not worse. Also tells them never ever trust anybody who tells you differently, even your own eyes and ears.

HOLY CRAP! I used to get Avon or Bath and Body ones and they both stopped making them. And the stores I shop at don't carry them anymore. It never occurred to me to look online. I feel dumb but at least it's a happy dumb! (And yes I specifically bought a house with a bathtub since a lot of people remove them during renovations.)

I really miss them. They were worth the occasional slipping in the tub. That's why you put down the rubber suction cup mat and the inflatable shell shaped back pillow before you ran it.

There's nothing more expensive than a free animal. I spent $4k on emergency surgery for my free pound dog right before last Christmas. And was lucky we could afford it.

Check out if any studios near you do one day intro classes. I got 4 friends together and we did a class and we each picked one of the available projects to make in 2 hours. I made a glass globe, someone made a swirled paperweight, someone made a vase and someone made a bowl. It was a ton of fun!

At least Tony Stark could afford it. I'll just drink straight from the can.

Given the first panel they're doing things that make other people horny and it landed them in jail the crime would be having a succulent anime tiddy.

#18 I really want this to be me but I'm nearsighted so instead it's going to be that episode of the Twilight Zone. Unless of course they DO bring me the Very Hungry Caterpillar (Or Llama Llama Red Pajama) in which case I'll recite it from memory.

I'm an auditor and if I'm going into a site I follow every safety regulation on that site. I did a tour with a corporate SVP and they also had to cover their hair, wear a hard hat, wear closed toed shoes, and cover up all piercings. And I'd mark off for anybody who let us in without checking all that stuff. Every person, every time.

And it's worse in Texas because we could have a better power grid but people like Ted Cruz want us on privatized grids.

I feel like the guy yelling would be the same kind of guy to yell "Not ALL men" while also implying that women are inherently safer than a child's own parent which is a weird double standard. I also saw a comment on Reddit by a guy saying he'd take his daughter into the men's room but beat the shit out of any guy who looked her way. Like great, now I have to worry about someone attacking my son for being a pervert by *checks notes* peeing in the men's room.

Not a bartender but I think you could have fun with something like an irish car bomb. I suggest the Nut Job's Been Shot. A nutty russian (cream, ice, hazelnut liquor) served in a tall glass then right when served drop in a shot glass of cherry liquor. Possibly while shouting "Charlie, look out!" or "Duck!"

I'm a cis woman and I have that same complaint. Mammography centers are very heavily female coded. I wish they had an area that wasn't so heavily coded or special hours or something to make them more welcoming for cis and trans men and non binary individuals. Health is health. Nobody should risk cancer.

Better is to find and cover all the vents with dirt. That way you can wait a few weeks/months and come back for anything useful. Save the concrete unless you really need it.

Also the only significant barrier to obtaining fish needs to be knowledge of how to obtain fish. Not to teach someone to fish then charge exorbitant amounts for the bait, the gear, and access to the water.

Also if you're already doing the work of a higher level, why would they promote you and pay you more when they can hire a new higher level worker and get twice the work for the same pay?

I make some mayonnaise brands look tan and meet her qualifications plus another 100 years on this side of the pond and I didn't vote for him. Literally my great great grandmother is buried less than 10 miles from where my son was born but that doesn't make me a racist or an idiot which are his 2 big polling groups. Why doesn't the GOP understand someone can look like them and still completely disagree with them?

My VP used to be a larger woman but lost a bunch of weight which I'm super happy for but now thinks anybody else who hasn't is just not as smart or hard working as her. She WFH and works out 90 minutes a day AND is on weight loss medicine my dr doesn't want me on. She also spends hundred a month on salon styling.

My written performance reviews say that I need to work on my writing; that my writing is what is preventing me from promoting. But they have me doing all the writing for my own team even though it's my boss's job, AND they've been lending me out to other teams to help with writing and editing which is my boss's boss's job. My VP has told me verbally that I need to lose weight and change my hair style. Well fuck you too. If you think I look unprofessional put it in writing, coward.

My review this year included that my manager failed to meet her goals. She started 3 years ago. I'd interviewed for my manager's position. They hired an outsider instead. For 3 years I did her job for her and last year I stopped. I produced written evidence I'd done all my tasks so they couldn't punish me but I got told I wasn't being a team player by discontinuing doing her work for her. You get the employees you hire. Good luck with that.

The one plus to not learning how to study until I was in my masters program was at least every class was at least tangently connected to my specific field of interest. It made the process less unpleasant.

My uncle very nearly became an unclaimed body. My father agreed to claim it long enough to donate it to medical science. He'd spent the last 40 years of his life in federal prison for being a conman and bank robber and about 1 of that for being a convicted child molester of his 9 and 4 year old daughters. None of his kids or his ex wife wanted to claim him. Still I respect them for giving dignity to the dead. My uncle was a fundamentally broken man at his core, but he was still human.
