Wait, I'm an idiot, sorry. 1k per 8 hours is 125 an hour. At 4 laborers, that's 31.25 an hour.
100 per hour includes all laborers, though. So if there are four people working, that's 25 an hour per person. Still, very nice!
They aren't old enough for WWII, if this is a recent photo. End of Korean War, most likely.
Most likely a wiped on stain, then followed by a polyurethane gloss coat after the stain was dry.
