I drive a car from the early 90s and aside from the Being 30+ Years Old problems it's fantastic. Gas milage is Okay, enough vision through the windows that a backup camera would feel a bit ridiculous, decent cargo space, spare parts are cheap and plentiful, and the smartest and worst part about the thing is the Transmission Control Units tend to die and that could be solved by just getting it swapped to a manual transmission.
Look I won't tell you not to pursue a career that makes you money, but hear me out on being overqualified: you're allowed to lie about how qualified you are and if that means they want to pay you less you're allowed to work less hard to meet their expectations.

Buddy of mine is a massage therapist and a large part of his pay is tips so he just doesn't make it obvious what his political views are and it's wild what people will admit to believing if you're a white guy who doesn't immediately tell them to fuck off.
See people say that a lot, but summer enjoyers don't seem to have any issues making personal arrangements to avoid what's perceived to be unpleasant about summer, but somehow when people who have trouble cooling off are suffering it's acceptable to make that everyone's problem.
If someone has trouble staying warm in winter, that's a skill issue. If someone has trouble staying cool in summer, that's a personal attack by the planet and society.
Why did we as a society decide it's acceptable to hate summer but not acceptable to hate winter? Complain about winter and a dozen people will tell you to wear more layers and talk about how much they love huddling under a blanket with a hot drink, but complain about summer and you and anyone who agrees with you will get told that summer sucks actually and you're wrong and you just don't get it that fall of winter are the best actually.

What if magic was cyberpunk and what if a commentary on the cycle of violence and the necessity of God respectively. Well I ran out of characters in my first comment, but since you've already read my top recommendation, have you read either The Founders trilogy or The Divine Cities trilogy by Robert Jackson Bennet?
I hadn't, been too distracted with so many other books. Since I already know i like his work I'll add that to the list of books I actually intend to read instead of the list of books I tell people I'm going to read to be polite.

Quick heads up, skip this one if you have moderate or stronger arachnophobia. Otherwise it's one of if not *the* best work of science fiction I've ever read. I had a terrible time, I couldn't put it down. I personally believe the ideal way to experience it is as an audio book and you should listen to it until you want to do anything but experience more of The Horrors and then listen to it for another 30-60 minutes at a time.
Like other people have pointed out, most people who can see which way the wind is blowing can't afford a new car and this isn't going to do anything to convince people who are opposed to cleaner alternatives for culture war reasons.
Like not to be a doomer, but this won't fix the problem. Never stop pointing to this as a strong reason *to* fix the problem, but it won't just magically get fixed by people seeing the light, it will take years of work still.
No seriously, 12 is an extremely useful number! 10 is cleanly divisible by 2, 5, and 10 but 12 is cleanly divisible by 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12. 10 tends to make cleaner math for accounting, but imperial makes human scale objects much more intuitive to measure, scale, and proportion to be pleasant to interact with.
It's inferior for science and engineering for sure, but the smaller imperial units are all based roughly on how things feel at a human scale and because they're base 12 are extremely easy to divide so in my opinion they make better buildings and furniture.
It's not just Israel, any invading military can and do order civilians in what they plan to be combat zones to evacuate.
But it is only Israel that would invade a neighboring nation with the intent to "defensively" seize land and resources.
It's better to fail the first time because if you get it right the first time and fuck it up the second time you'll feel even worse.

I'm not even sure it can. Like part of what defined it was clothes being so cheap you could just replace them in a year when they wore out so I kinda doubt there's all that many surviving original pieces for kids to get and make popular again.
I hope cell phones with SD card slots and headphone jacks come back tho.
That's because you're assuming nationalists hold the same fundamental ideas as you, they do not. To a nationalist there is no such thing as equality; you are better than someone and dominate them or you are worse and are dominated. Your nation and national identity can place you higher on that hierarchy and so the obvious thing to believe is that their nation is the best possible one. There's more, but there's only so many characters in a comment and hours in a day to explain this.
The short answer that only leads to more questions is we're told that anger is the only acceptable emotion.
What you're describing is a commune and will require SO MUCH planning because land and buildings and communities require maintenance (both physical and social/emotional).
You're gonna want to essentially plan a small government.
To be clear: I encourage you to give it a shot at least on paper, just because it'll be hard doesn't mean it isn't worth doing, but do keep in mind that if you come at this like planning housemates for a few years of college everyone involved is gonna have a bad time.

Personally I'd recommend not writing more on it. People have a lot of strong feelings about it and no matter what stance you take I'm pretty sure you'll attract attention from insufferable if well-intentioned people more than you'll spread helpful education about the legitimate impacts of and arguments against porn consumption.
