Well, I used to work for a cable company, and I will tell you exactly why they never did that. If everyone only picked and paid for a few channels, then they would lose money on most every customer. Fees and rates the cable companies pay to get access to content from the providers mean that they have to ensure a minimum dollar amount from video customers, or the product loses them money. There was no way to make money selling a handful of channels per customer.
I don’t ever want to yuck anyone’s yum, but I never really got the latex/leather scene on account of I can’t stop thinking about how much setup there is. You got the outfits, the equipment, probably a vacuum pump at some point… like, you really gotta’ make a day of it, you know? Folks that are into it, how do you keep the enthusiasm up while you’re setting up all the equipment?

To be completely honest, pedantically fair… that miiiiight just be them being true to the source material. With the possible exception of later Devil May Cry games, fighting games in general have got to be about the horniest video games on the planet. Honestly, I think even more so than actual erotic visual novels and shit like that; fighting games have this sort of desperation about them — “no, no, see, she needs to be able to move freely, that’s… that’s why she’s… hnngh… dressed like that.”
I get the inclination to think that, but I don’t think there’s a conspiracy at play here so much as shrewd actors capitalizing on the mistakes of a very dumb and overconfident enemy. “Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence,” I think the saying goes.

You need to be careful. My partner and I just visited Portland, and I think we spent [redacted, but imagine, like, a big number here] dollars at Powell’s. There’s a whole WALL of weird RPG books in their Red Room section. Also, you and the folks at 1-900-hotdog do amazing work, it’s cool to see you here!
Shoot, this isn’t even the first time it happened. By all accounts, Ronald Reagan was pretty badly affected by Alzheimer’s by his second term, and his staff did their best to cover for him during his increasingly obvious gaffes.

My friend gave me a watch as a gift, and the special feature of this watch is that it plays a scaled-down version of Mega Man 2, so that’s way cooler than any expensive, dinner-plate watch I’ve ever seen!

Yeah, like, I don’t think this kid should be given a weapon or the authority to use it, but I don’t think this is indicative of some kind of pathology unique to “the Russian soul.” I went to fuckin’ high school with guys who couldn’t wait to join the marines so they could “go over there and blow away some [racial slur]s.” I think there’s a number of people in any society that think this way, and a sane population would avoid letting those folks have access to weapons.
Honestly, the fact that I apparently own an AMC Eagle SX/4 fastback is a welcome and pleasant surprise. Great car, way ahead of its time.
Well, it’s the difference between believing in something and agreeing with something, right? Socialism and communism are different economic philosophies, but in the context of trying to transition away from capitalism, they would agree on some of the same steps. But it’s not because a socialist is the chrysalis from whence emerges an adult communist, socialism is a distinct philosophy of its own, with different goals and methods of achieving those goals.
Honestly, I don’t know if I agree with that any more. At least in the US, I don’t know what, besides capitalism and patriarchy, conservatives are “conserving” any more. Even the rank-and-file, hold-your-nose-and-vote conservatives still want awful fucking things for society, or at least they don’t want to make a fuss when other people do want awful. I have come to believe that, when push comes to shove, there’s precious little daylight between “conservatves” and just plain regressives.
I’ll still help ya’ move a couch if’n you need it, though.
It’s honestly vulgar here, too, but c’est la vie. If I still had to regularly commute, I would not have gotten it. But I only have to drive occasionally now, and it’s by far the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. I try to be courteous, leave lots of space to merge, and park in the far-away spots to leave room for others. The smiley-face lights and pride stickers in the back window help soften the “truck-guy” image a bit, but it’s still a divisive thing to own, I get that.
People talk, you know, it don’t mean nothin’.
One of the other best abilities you can unlock in real life is that kind of core strength.
