2/2 It is not a tool, it is the rulebook. This economic setup is not a neutral instrument you can pick up or put down. It is the entire foundation of how society is organized, and it dictates who has power and who writes the laws. Economic Power translated into political Power.

You are absolutely correct that the current economic system is excellent at concentrating wealth at the top but terrible at distributing it.

capitalism naturally creates a "reserve army of labor"- a pool of unemployed and desperate people. The visible threat of homelessness and poverty is exactly what forces workers to accept low wages and bad jobs. capitalism cannot solve homelessness because the threat of homelessness is the engine that forces the working class to show up to work on the capitalists' terms.

Capitalism isnt about investing. It is a system built on exploitation. profit does not magically appear from an investment. It comes from the workers. If a worker produces $100 worth of value in an hour, the capitalist might only pay them $20 and keep the remaining $80 as profit

I get where you are coming from and let me clarify –
If a small group of people owns all the major enterprises, they will naturally use their wealth to influence the government and write laws that protect their property and profits. Therefore, capitalism is absolutely a political system. It requires a state, laws, and police to enforce private property rights and ensure the capitalist class remains in power.
