It's my birthday today! Same day as the Nobel Prizes are a thing.

As a non american, that part is the most frightening. One man can suddenly just decide to not follow the rules or the laws and noone can do ANYTHING to stop him? How is that possible in a country with checks and balances and everything else? Of course, if everyone is corrupt it's possible, but shouldn't the UN send troops or something by now?

Nej, det är troligtvis helt amerikanskt.

In swedish we cut it down and just call them "ren", which is pronounced with a long e. The further north in the country, the longer the e. ;)

I misread the title and before i could stop my brain it shouted "BABY BACK CAMEL RIBS!". The rest of me apologizes for this.

I'm confused. Say if people don't want to pay for this early access, do they really have to? And if not, is that really a problem for anybody smarter than say a chair?

The funny thing is that here in Sweden, the state have given us a service that if you opt in to it, only gives companies you have done business with before the right to call you. That plus an app that screens spam calls and i don't get more than maybe two a year that sneaks by when the a-holes changes numbers.

I downloaded the extended versions in early 2000, whenever they came out, and i still have them on my harddrive. And now i don't feel at all bad about that fact. Well, i didn't before but now even less. :)

Sure, but that only helps right then. If they are too full, you get a handful. If they aren't full enough, you get a handful. It's the glorious time in between that it works so yeah, it won't win "Industrial design of the decade" awards anytime soon.

You speaketh the truth. My brain that know all the lyrics to all my favourite songs, can remember wifi passwords from 15 years ago and phone numbers from the 90s can't remember ONE knot to save it's life. Or my life rather. Thanks for nuthing, smoothie!

The funny thing is that living in a socialist hell up here in the north, i don't think i ever spoken with anyone that said out loud that they were christian and i think one time i have gotten the question if i believe in god. Which i don't of course. If someone have religion it's more private and very few - except the so called "free churches" - makes it their whole existence, that seems common in the us. That few live like they preach...that seems to always follow.

So they have rules in mens basketball but not womens? Is that for the gladitorial aspect or are they just stupid?

You absolute bastard! I mean...i love you but still...the bastardness shines through! But still...upvote it is.

I mean yeah, it's stupid as hell. Would i have been on that boat if my friend was getting married? Without a shadow of a doubt. Would i have laughed like a maniac afterwards. Absolufrigginlutely. I sometimes miss being this young and stupid.

Great movie! I heard they made some kind of series as a spinoff but i never saw it. The movie was the peak, that was clear from the start. :)

Okay, i give you the upvote but i want you to know: i do it under protest.

On the other hand, it's close to unusable today, so it's just a matter of time.

#3 I almost wish...it's hotter than the warm part of the warm place here and the sun is beating down hard. Plus we have just now eaten ice cream with strawberries, which also is a tradition around here. Glad midsommar allihopa! :)

Wait til you hear that in many countries, slicing the pizza isn't the norm. I don't even think most pizzerias here own pizza slicers. Almost everyone except you is eating with utensils.

I did a reverseero one time: a record store clerk recommended a Daft Punk single, but i said with contempt in my voice that The Chemical Brothers were a much better record. Which i feel validated in now: Leave home is much better than Around the world and if you say otherwise...well, that's just your opinion. ;)

I have to say that yours absolutely can be the only correct assumption.

For some maybe. For me it has always been about the music and how people looked or dressed never was a part of it. Sure, a safety pin through the cheek was absolutely a statement that was very punk but I never went that far.

In a way yes. On the other hand it's performance art, which i would say is very far from punk.

It's funny...i first lost my dad five years ago and sad to say, it didn't really affect me that much. I loved him and looked up to him but he was really affected by dementia in the end and didn't know who i was most of the time. But when my mother died...i still think about her and miss her at least a couple of times a week.

Oh no, how is Adobe going to survive without anyone paying for their software?

Relax people, it's a live collab, not the second coming. To me it was entertaining and sometimes that's enough.

In the lower picture, have Trump been showing of his model planes that someone in his staff has been forced to make for him?

I love knots! I have watched people make easy and very useful knots countless times and if needed, i would probably die before i remembered the right knot to use. And how to tie it, which is the bigger problem.
