love books (but barely have time to read). also my wife, kid & cat! love them dearly. ticketed cabinetmaker. but am a commercial millwork installer, so I haven't actually built anything nice in a while.. we bought a house that needs lots of love is why there's no time! as I just sit here petting the cat

Gwar is fun live as well! Also much cheaper to see

This is the stuff we get. Yes we use dish soap for tooling as well, however we are just doing edges along receptions & walls etc.. Very cool what you are doing with it!! If you wouldn't mind posting a pic of something I'm quite interested

I believe what we buy is crl from Richelieu as it's the cheapest but I've only had one kind with a hardening agent (aluminum?) & it sucked for tooling!! But I use it for commercial millwork install & caulking. Never thought to try & use it for anything else because it's stupid & gross 🤣 We put our hands info the beltsander powder to clean silicone off before it gets everywhere!! You all are crazy

I think they are referring to my mazda lane control. If I swerve to miss a big pothole (or anything) & the sensor sees a line (sometimes just tar or crack🤷) it tries to drive back into whatever obstacle I was initially trying to avoid.. I am not leaving my lane so you don't reiterate the signal lesson

It's a short movie about a sheep lover if I remember correctly. He sees the sheep as ladies but I believe they're sheep. Not sure if it's someone's university project or as others have said just boredom & humour 🤷

Looks like walnut plugs sanded down before finishing. Just a guess

I keep backing up forever. Once I thought we would all be working towards a goal of safe storage but I've read recently that if you use sdd for storage vs hdd the information stored degrades over time. Haven't looked into too much as everything is stored on hdd but something to look into. I even want to build some sorta Faraday cage but have read mixed thoughts on if they actually work.. just complaining, should probably go back everything up again

Eisbaer by Grauzone was always one of my favourites

Same with Canada & probably America as well. Heck here in Alberta I think you just buy a license?! Doesn't mean people shouldn't practice before going out with their death machines 🤷 maybe they could read up a little, just seems polite. I'll give you an upvote, but you'd be surprised at how similar the world is. It's not us vs you, it's us vs corporations. "Real road, real solutions" yes I'm sure you are the best human around 🎉

I work in manufacturing. We specifically hire people who do one task on a production chain & pay a couple people way more to do everything else. You can train the most average person to do one task quite well! I would never hire a red seal ticketed cabinet maker or carpenter to do the one task. I imagine this is what employers are hoping to do in every sector. These average employees always waste time & resources.. so while you are most likely correct

Or the more they have to pay a skilled person vs someone who just enters prompts

We had a store called San Francisco in like every mall in the 80's-90's. Miss that busy little place

I am old & have no idea what people are doing. But looks like a newer devil sticks or karate kid drum thing. Oooh or those annoying plastic clicker things we'd smack back & forth

As someone who works in several big homes. It definitely depends. Top floors are typically for dementia patients & people who can't leave. Middle are people who need more care. Lower floors are for healthy active people. One thing that is glaringly obvious is there are a lot fewer men!! I know we die earlier but it's crazy.. so I do believe there's a group having a blast, I can't imagine (nor do I want to 🤣) it's a large percentage of these homes population

I am 46 & don't bother with internet much anymore. We had a glorious run but it's time to walk away, maybe start bbs again. Some sort of invite only internet 🤷 I browse Imgur & that's about it. I donate to Wikipedia & the Internet archive monthly but definitely will lose that fight to corporations eventually

Huge fan of Peach Momoko but that's not the same art style. Maybe Sabine Rich or Lucas Werneck would be good examples of updated comic styles?! There are a lot of artists, so probably better examples (Kirkham or Tyndall?)

We pay $1200 a month mortgage while the same house rents at $2200. So even with doing our own maintenance we get $10k a year in savings to put in the house. I feel like the whole renting is better thing came from rich people writing articles to convince people owning is worse. No one is immune to propaganda

She succeeded I believe. We'll have to try & stop her through the courts 🤷 there's dozens of normal people here but we keep our mouths shut so we don't have to fight all day..

It's different now, but in the 90's I literally drove around the block & got a license 🤷 (Kamloops BC) I think it costed like $75 total

Just get a job at a millwork shop! Always enough offcuts to make free cutting boards. Although once you do you'll probably just stick to the thin ones & the cutting boards you make will end up given away or your significant other will put pop cans on them

Yes that Ringo. Wasn't he also on Thomas the train engine? That alone is legendary
