Just like anyone else, get a job. There are products out there that let you work without vision. Each state has job placement programs too
You will most likely be fine. I work with people who have low vision and blindness for a living

It's actually not all that bad is some cases. I worked for a private fire department in southern Oregon and it worked very well in that case
