The people of Greenland have decided for themselves their path to independence for decades. They always come back to the fact they get 40% of their public income from Denmark and their living standard would plummet without it. My point is; please don't throw Denmark into the likes of the violent oppressors mentioned, Greenland could have Independence if they wanted it enough to forego danish support.
Greenland have self-rule and have every right to declare independence if they wanted it. They have been part of Denmark for 800 years and generally don't want it. While they have some legitimate gripes with Denmark in the past, these days they receive massive financial support from Denmark and decide themselves issues that involve Greenland.

Once Trump gets back into Office, that'll be The End of Everything....
