Calling Rubio an idiot here implies belief that he made that statement in good faith. He's not doubting El-Sayed's immigration status, he's encouraging his followers to doubt it. He's playing the grifter, not the patsy.
Given that black Americans are very aware of the history of lynching, it's appalling that when a black person is discovered hanged from a tree, it's not *immediately* declared a murder. A suicidal black person, even if they chose hanging, would never involve a tree. There's recent history of a tree-hanged black person's death being ruled a suicide, so there's a pattern being established here.
That might be their excuse for retaliation, but the proper legal response to somebody putting out a hit isn't "shut down their brewery".
See, that's not DEI, that's nepotism, which has always been cool with that crowd.
It's over 100 degrees this weekend. For a lot of people, setting the ac to 78 and maxing out the capabilities of their ac is the same thing.
It absolutely sucks that they're not reaching out to you about it, but unless there's something genuinely toxic with your relationship with them, you can still start the conversation with them, open up about your feelings and let them know you'd appreciate check-ins about your emotions. They can learn to be better.
Who's the actual genocide opponent? Mamdani has really been making waves in NYC, but he's not eligible. It'd be nice to start rallying around a name earlier rather than later.

Sometimes. There a few shining moments where everything works and you know why and you feel like a god. There's long stretches of times where nothing works and you feel like an imbecile. And, as in your example, sometimes things works and you have no idea why, and you feel just as stupid as if everything was broken.
I get the joke, but there hasn't been any sort of arcade game or vending machine that took pennies in my lifetime. I'm old enough to have fed a nickel into a machine (I think it was antique at the time) but not a penny.
It makes sense if you think of it as them being in the business of owning companies, rather than being about making products.

My parents gave me a credit card as a teen for emergencies. I was trusted to only use it for approved purchases (such as running errands for them) and genuine emergencies. Sounds like they have a similar arrangement, and gas is not an "approved purchase".
