Yeah, as prey animals they're not genetically selected for age duration in the wild. They are very interactive and friendly when they grow up under human care though.
My sister has rehabilitated several and even in captivity under the care of a train animal professional they have staggeringly short lives. No where near that projection. More like 2-4 with regular vet care and balanced diets.

I wonder if the next president will do what Trump did to Biden and cancel their secret service protection.
What makes me sad is that the cost of the skilled labor for the 2+ hours, while less than a new pair of shoes, is only slightly less.
