Something about yourself!

Perhaps some of them, but the main reason things are phone apps and not websites is because they want to spy on you.

I think you misunderstand what the "clear indicators" poe's law references. The /s tag you just took issue with WAS the "clear indicator". If you don't bend over backwards to make sure everyone knows you're being sarcastic, a percentage of strangers on the internet will not get the joke and take you seriously. It has always been a problem.

Poe's law was coined like 20+ years ago. "Without a clear indicator of the author's intent, any parodic or sarcastic expression of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of those views." It has been an issue of communicating via text on the internet from day 1.

They didn't really survive it as much as they swooped in directly after it.

Better give it a candle just in case.

Calibanites were secret plot obsessed weirdos long before the lion came to town. They just continued to be true to themselves.

By simply looking for physical releases you are stripping the nuance out of the topic, and pointing fingers at GOG's unpopularity shows that you know that. The impact of no physical releases on a platform that only installs digital content from a single source is incomparable to how PC software is distributed.

This is really just human nature. Researchers had people across all socioeconomic statuses play 1v1 games of rigged monopoly. One player started with extra money, the other didn't get anything for passing go. When the advantaged player inevitably won, they all thought that it was mostly due to their gamesmanship and not the handicap.

There is some truth to your words, but it seems like the genres that whales can support on their own are limited. AAA gaming has had a lot of high profile live service failures in the last couple years because it really does seem like gamers have finally learned a little self-control and refuse to just eat the slop put in front of them. The percentage of people buying and playing newly released games is at an all time low.

I remember that thing. Extremely expensive, massively underpowered / lacking features, and not even the phones they used in the movies. Basically, it was never cool.

Almost every single faction in 40k is in a state of freefall decline, way past its prime and paying heavy losses just to avoid extinction. They can't just broker peace because the factions that AREN'T in decline are pretty much forces of nature that will keep going regardless.

If the manner in which a candidate ate their grilled meats was a deal breaker to them, they would have walked away from trump and his shoe leather steaks a decade ago.

The stereotype of the overly aggressive doberman is outdated. The combination of other breeds being favored for working positions and a high profile dog show disqualification due to aggression in the 80s means that doberman breeders have purposely chilled them out through selective breeding.

Okay Alex Schaefer.

Roadcraft or Snowrunner. Roadcraft is more accurate to the vehicles shown, Snowrunner is the bigger, better game though.

They look like ww2 planes but they're flight trainers that came out in the 70s and were produced all the way into the 90s.

It would be more period correct if at random some of them were nearly unrecognizable redesigns.

Lets just say that the cops no longer call that equipment "nonlethal" and instead use the term "less lethal".

Zero. It's very true that CA exploits inmates to do firefighting, but only the hard stuff (fighting wildfires). Once they get out they are denied continued work in the field due to their legal histories, so it's unlikely you would see any spraying down a building in a populated area.

All housing is a potential airbnb though. So you would turn a hotel into a house and then those would go up on Airbnb too.

It's documented that a really common outcome of brain damage is increased anger / irritability and a shift towards conservative political values. I'm inclined to believe that is what happened here.
