I cannot agree more! Not really related to this effect, but more about how we digitalized color, this was one of the best introduction I found about this when I needed to unserstand sRGB, CYMK, or HDR color spaces:https://hg2dc.com/
It's usually for stuff like LED and additional usb port on the keyboard itself. I had one like that, and it was only using one of the 2 USB-A ports for the keys, so it would still work fine with just the main USB port connected to the PC
