None of the cats I've owned have ever done damage on this scale. However, I battled with my current cat to keep him from destroying my pullout couch. He won the war.

God damn it. I briefly misread this as "Trump, 80, dies" and I got waaaay too excited for half a second.

I mean, aren't the big tech companies already putting limits on AI usage by their devs because the bill is far higher and the output is far worse?

Thanks for this nifty guide. I updated my settings. I hope Google sees enough people doing this and realizes they're on the wrong side of history (I know, I can dream).

No, take him back! We already have his ilk.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

This rivals when USAid was cut and farmers discovered that a lot of USAid money was going toward them for their food.

When the Project 2025 doc came out, it had a HUGE backlash. But then all Trump had to do was say, "I don't know anything about that" and his fans immediately fell in line, despite the articles coming out about how he's great friends with all the Heritage Foundation leaders.

Us being able to annoy our cats is the price they pay for all the luxury we afford them.

Ah, of course, just wasting tax payer money to see what they can get away with. Classic Republicans.

Is a single county allowed to change their voting? I thought voting was state-sanctioned. Or is it the case that some states allow their counties greater bandwidth to determine what works for them?

Interesting. I've never been able to get my cat to eat wet food and the vet just kinda shrugged and said, "As long as he's getting plenty of water, then he can just eat what he eats." I did finally get him to eat churu. Turns out he prefers the churu on a plate rather than from the tube.

I'm a writer. I write the equivalent of novels for fun. No AI.

That pursuit predator running mode. Damn!

I have seen some conservatives bristle when the Trump administration floats opening up the parks for drilling, but it never seems to make them rethink their vote.

I'm sorry that this is the end. I hope you go gentle into that good night. RIP.

Spoiler:

Chigurh kills him during this encounter.

He had a small role.

Yeah, I don't find these videos particularly inspiring. Yes, if I knew the time and date I was going to die, I'd absolutely do things differently. But I don't. And that's why I have to keep an eye out for the future. That good job doesn't matter? I'll tell my cat that when we're homeless living out of my car because I tried "to live in the moment!"

Being able to bother a cat is one of the best reasons for having one.

I die inside every time someone uses gen AI for Anti-AI messaging. Seriously?

I have been. And they are sensible and currently know a scam when they see one, but that doesn't prevent their cognitive abilities from atrophying. I'm 2,000 miles away so that makes it harder to be there in the moment.

My parents are mid-70s and I'm really concerned they'll lose their senses enough to get hoodwinked like this.

It's a reflection. Under normal circumstances, this would be horizontal, not vertical.

'Female' is still used in a scientific sense. Like a documentary might say, "The female stays behind at the nest" but you wouldn't use that in an everyday sense because it's not socially appropriate to refer to women as females.

Accurate, buckaroo. And yes, incels referring to women as 'females' is absolutely a recent trend. It's used to dehumanize them to a thing. See r/menandfemales for examples.

I wish women wouldn't refer to themselves 'as a female.' It makes you sound like an incel pretending to be a woman. Female is an adjective, not a noun.

The Kentucky Legislation took away the governor's powers to appoint someone to the seat. By forcing a special election, you're simply filling the seat faster when right now the Republicans have to scramble with one less, particularly powerful vote.

GOOD. I'm ready for AI to sink them and all the other big tech companies.
