If the system is intentionally designed to keep people apathetic, disenfranchised, and burnt out, blaming the people is a waste of time. You're blaming your fellow crabs in the bucket. And you're making an assumption I don't vote, and that I've not participated. It was volunteering for a political campaign that made me realize it's more complicated than just getting people out to vote
You want a scapegoat, someone to blame and shame who you have the ability to reach. The system feels insurmountable. You can call senators and congressmen all day and nothing will change. But you can go online and all caps your frustration on the good-for-nothings who are the REAL problem. If you haven't knocked on doors, made cold calls, and worked in your community to make sure everyone can vote, don't blame
You have to qualify for early voting, and as we've learned from this past election, votes can simply be cast out if you've been purged from PARTY voter rolls. Any time you're spending energy shaming ordinary people being lazy, you're attacking your fellow people. You and I both know it's easier to shame your fellow citizens than it is to combat the system that purposefully disenfranchises them. It does nothing except play into a narrative that ordinary people are no good and lazy
It's not just a google search away. It's time many people don't have luxury of taking off work to go vote. It's finding a polling location to vote at. Stop getting mad at the people who aren't clearing obstacles, and start getting mad at the people creating them
The voter disenfranchisement is intentional. They scream VOTE at you so you'll blame your fellow Americans who don't even know what day to vote BY DESIGN. It's not a conspiracy, it's just purposefully keeping people from exercising their rights and using their collective power.

Nuclear scientists and engineers are just considered people you can target because...? What Israel did to Iran is not terror because western media helps them portray their actions as justified. I'm aware this isn't the only country being targeted with misinfo, but there is a concerted effort by internal and external forces to control what people think. I know, I know, it's not just us. It's the magnitude of misinformation.

We're trapped. The fascists and oligarchs have all the power. Speaking out against the regime will soon a punishable offense. I would lay down my life if it meant saving America from christian fascists, but it's not that easy. Organizers are being tracked by three letter agencies and protests may soon become illegal. We voted for this. Successful or attempted coups have serious repercussions. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. Most will choose to avoid pain and suffering as long as possible
