0.125" AEB-L @ 61 HRC
I like it too. I have a love-hate relationship with very angular design features. Most of the time I strike a balance, but change is fun too
I have a variant of that in the next batch. Same edge profile but with a gradual curve to the spine instead of the reverse tanto thing.
Haha yah I went ham behind the grinder. The blue one is going to be my go-to from this point on
Soon. ???? Hopefully. ???? I do these occasionally I just ran out of parts for the moment
My thought exactly.
Thank you!
Exactly that
I will soon
I have a friction folder (check my posts). I generally stick with fixed blades.
It's unlikely. I don't think it's a discipline I can add value in.
Thanks, it's probably my favorite build so far. Vanguardforge.com/shop
Thanks!
Thanks! They're available on my website, vanguardforge.com/shop
Thanks! I use AEB-L stainless that's been cryogenically hardened to 60 HRC. They're available on vanguardforge.com/shop
Soon my friend, soon ;)
Thanks man.
I do earth toned knives sometimes. And glad to hear it :)
These are $275 shipped. The yellow one would be a perfect pairing knife if it had thinner stock.
Thanks man!
It'll be up on vanguardforge.com tomorrow! If it's going to be used exclusively for kitchen work I'd prefer to do a custom build for you.
Thanks! Lately I've found myself drifting towards a couple of strictly utilitarian designs. Knives are way more fun when they can be used.
They do retain in the hand like a mother f*cker.
I design them to be good at light food prep first and utility tasks second. It's most of what I use knives for.
Excellent work my friend!
Never thought of that :p
Sharp belts. It work hardens very quickly, and gets very hot when grinding gets inefficient, so avoid dull belts like the plague.
