Chapel Hill. No water source nearby but lots of wooded areas, so I assumed if I were to spot anything it would be a copperhead, or perhaps a black racer

If he’s a hog nose he’ll be my first. Saw a water snake that thankfully was chilling and not caring about me, several black racers who are easily my favorite, and a bull snake who is easily my worst and did nothing to alleviate their jerk reputation. Surprisingly never seen a copperhead and okay with that streak continuing, although I’m sure in North Carolina I’ve walked past a thousand of them without knowing.

Forgot to add he wasn’t that big, if I had to guess I’d say about he was about 2 1/2 - 3 feet long.

Found this guy during my walk. I assumed it was a copperhead at first but markings don’t match. My guess is a hognose as they like to play dead, but if he was faking he was taking a risk as I passed by at least half a dozen vultures about 100 yards away

There’s a lot of signs confirming you were an awesome dad. This is one of them

iOS isn’t allowing me to edit so adding a comment to explain my initial note. TVs by themselves aren’t good for transcoding and their chips aren’t strong. External devices like a Roku, fire stick, Apple TV or what I use - ONN plus, work far better.

I have a ONN device I use with my plex. Apple TV is also a solid addition, albeit it far more expensive

TV works if you’re streaming local, but if it’s remote you’re going to have issues

You have to see Kevin Nelson’s YouTube channel with Conan where they hike. Kevin likes throwing softball questions only to catch them off-guard. His episode with Bill Burr is also hilarious

I have two golden retrievers I walk constantly, took me a while to learn that whenever someone compliments my dogs or slows down to view them they’re quietly asking me if they can pet them.

Now I’m proactive and ask if they want to say hi to them, I also let them know it’s not a bother and I’m assuming like Sigrid, they enjoy the pets.

Like others said start searching now while you’re employed. If there’s a third layoff then a fourth may not be far behind.

#14 is a real place in the outer banks. They serve awesome biscuits and used to have a porn magazine section, hence the name

Costco and chic fil-a. The places with the nicest employees and the rudest and self-entitled customers

I saw a follow-up post where a lady asked him to review her glasses and he was close, think a half point off, solely from a photo.

They have three YouTube channels that I’m aware of

@funnygroup.9166
@318ThreeOneEight
@ThreeOneEight318

The first one used to get a lot of updates, but hasn’t posted in a while. The other two post constantly

I lived in Texas in 2008. The long lines were because rush was telling everyone to vote in the Democratic primaries and vote for Hillary so it would take longer for Obama to secure the nomination. Ironically Republicans had the same problem in 2012 with their nominees

Dude is truth serum to republicans and allowed the most rotten to expose themselves, including several of my family members

Your boy is adorable and he knows he’s loved a life full of love. It’s the best gift you could have given him. Now he gets to hang out with two of my golden retrievers,a cockapoo and a cat who enjoyed being around dogs.

Honor your boy, grieve when it’s time, try to think of only happy memories. And when you feel you’re ready adopt a new buddy, it’ll be the best gift your boy can give you.

I think it was mid flight and the pilot said if he’s terminated he’s required to immediately land so they can get a new pilot. That’s when they changed their mind, or so I’ve heard

Can’t confirm if it’s this, but a story went viral a few years back where a guy went on a date with an instagram model and she used it as an excuse to get an expensive meal.

Argument I’ve heard once that makes sense - Nice people don’t know how to be evil so they assume they’re to act full-on cartoonishly evil. Actual evil people don’t want to be exposed so they’ll tone it down so it doesn’t appear natural

The director’s intention was to talk about how an invading force would come in with a smile, pretend to be your friend while behind your back they’re taking over. Once in they identify who’s a threat and eliminate them while making an excuse to consolidate power, example Hitler and the Reichstag Fire

Nerd alert: I read the books when they came out in the 80s and their tech was 800 years ahead of us, so in reality they could have easily wiped us out. The story itself was based on a book “It Can’t Happen Here” which talked about the potential rise of facism. TV execs wouldn’t green light it as it would be too much for audiences, so aliens were created due to Star Trek/Star Wars and they being an enemy everyone could agree on

To prevent you from putting up a defense. Then once the pieces are in place they slowly clamp down and suffocate you. By the time you realize what’s up it’s too late.
